I'll be present all 3 days of each event. VMD is going to be a real treat this year, a childhood hero of mine, Malcom Smith is going to be Grand Marshall and also ride in the Husqvarna Legends Exhibition on the mx course. I think this will be the first year in a while that I DON'T do the test rides. Last year proved to me that there is NOTHING I like as much as my Buell. |

Shagg1970: I think hero blue was the OEM stock blue wheel for 2009 R, but as Jazbiz66 points out...it gets dirty pretty fast (was spotless at the beginning of that trip). Hope to see some of you at the Mid-Ohio Superbike races. Hope to be there both Sat/Sun. |

Got my bike back from Farrows. They covered 3.5 hrs of labor under my now expired warranty, but the problem still exists. Nothing was replaced -- they looked for loose grounds and cleaned the throttle body which was full of carbon deposits. But...my problem still exists. It was better -- or so I thought -- riding away from Northstar last Thursday, but it went quickly downhill. I'm beginning to believe that the exhaust valve actuator, the extremely dirty throttle body, the fouled front plugs, etc. are simply symptoms of whatever the real underlying problem is. And neither I or Farrow's has found any underlying problem. But before I call Farrows and continue to complain that it's still not running right, is anyone with some mechanical experience and more Buell experience then I have willing to take my bike for a ride and tell me whether I'm nitpicking or not? I would hate to go back and pay good money to be told "that's simply the way it runs now". I'll meet any of you most anytime/anywhere around Columbus. Tell my I'm crazy or tell me I have a real problem...but this thing is driving me nuts. John/shagg1970? Mark/Wolf? Neil/Arctic9r? Anybody? |

Here's 1 of 3 symptoms that my bike continues to do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkh1Ttms7jU Just looking for anyone's input or assistance before I call AD Farrow and take this in yet again. |

low fuel pressure? vacuum leak? |

No, low fuel pressure/vacuum leak would cause a lean condition(bright white plugs). he has a rich condition with the front plug (black / rich) and the rear is about right.rich is either not enough air, or too much fuel. from watching your video it looks like something is not right with the idle circuit, IAC valve, clogged passage, wiring, ecm, etc... Thump, Although all my experience is with an 06 buell I would be glad to try to help you, ride it or whatever I can do. Do you have a shop manual? |

I do have a shop manual and hand tools. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated...even if it's just verifying that I indeed have a problem. :-) I talked with Mark earlier today and he indicated the 77-pin as that's a problem he's seen himself with similar symptoms. Although it's been redesigned in the 2008+ model years, and the electrical load is different (so I've been reading) I'm going to look at that tonight. I'll shoot you a PM John and see if we can hook up. |

Well I got soaking wet at mid ohio this morning. Got there around 10:30 left at around 1:45, no body had any Buell stuff. I only saw 3 Buell's there. 2 were at vendor booths but not for sale, and there was one white XB12 parked by the demo rides. Might go in the morning for a few hours then gotta go to work. |

Alright, today was much better, saw a lot of Buell's. Still no vendors had Buell shirts or steel Buell signs or anything, but it was good to see a good turn out of Buell's. Disappointed they didn't have the stunt riders this year though. |

Buell did well in the races at VMD. As usual, the best sounding bike on the track. We met Malcolm Smith and he autographed a poster for my son, being the huge MS fan that he is, it was pretty special to him. All in all a great VMD. Looking forward to Superbike Weekend. |

I'm looking to go up there with a buddy Sunday. Anyone have a clue how much a one-day pass is? Their website appears to be down. |

Phase 2 of Supercycle vacation is completed. Ride to Deal's Gap. Here are some pics: Skyway a.m. ride to the gap. At the Tail for an a.m. ride, gotta get in a few good passes before the Law arrives. When the LEO's get there and the parade is in full force, it's a good time to go do some other roads and sight seeing. Fontana Dam Do a few more jams on the Tail after LEO's leave, and call it a day. Another Skyway pic, looking across some N.C mts. Pt.3 of Supercycle vacation starts today. Going to MidOhio!! |

Thanks Jason! It looks like you are far enough towards Lexington that I might as well just drive the rest of the way up and take a walk around, but I appreciate the response! We need to get about 6 shirts to a contact at the track this evening... I'm near Cincy, so if somebody was close to me and leaving this afternoon anyway, I would run the shirts up to them and let them take them the rest of the way and save myself a few hours round trip... no big deal if it doesn't work out... I'll run up, stop at Iron Pony (never been there, need some stuff) then run on up to Lexington and get the lay of the land... |
