Wow. I kind of like the old hydraulic lifter of the XB. No adjustment necessary. |

All good Lids are on, rotated up and one of 2 bolts in. After that speed bump, the shims all went in smoothly with a magnet holder I made. Lash in the middle all around. A bunch of nuts & bolts and we're back on the road. Can't wait. Z |

I am heading out in two weeks for the Rocky Mountain ADVrider Rally in South Fork. Any other Uly riders going there? After the rally (Aug. 2nd) I'm heading over to Ouray and then probably snake though to Fairplay on my way to Denver. There is also a Star Motorcycle school going on at High Plains Raceway I might go to before heading home. |

Well we made it to gunnison without any incidents. Not much traffic and the new ride pulled the toy hauler with very little effort. Dan was a happy guy. Rode down to Lake City. Then had dinner with some friends staying at Blue Mesa. Planning on doing 92 to McClure Pass into Carbondale tomorrow. Its quite warm up here. Heard it was hot back home. Will post pics as we can. |

Thanks Court and Jody. I do not think I worked on a truck since the days of carbs... It was fun but we need to get out for a couple of days (vice just overnight). I made a shower for the camper and need to try it out one day LOL. We fished briefly as I was not feeling well. We did not get any bites but I had the wrong rod and reel. I will not make that mistake again and will make sure to have my Fly Rod ready... Lynn and I sat by the shore of the lake and watched the sun go down. That is why live in Colorado. |

Well, the last post was a bit of a fib. I thought the shim was impossible to find and decided to hope it would drop to the bottom and be OK. Talked to Max a bunch on Monday and decided to go back on the hunt. He said the first thing they told him at 1125 school was "Don't drop the shims". Where I finally found the shim, the motor would have grenaded on start-up. Big step was rigging up a strong light source for several arthroscopic view-probes I have Got all 3 working well and found the shim shortly after. Kept it in view and snatched it with a magnet-on-a-stick, much squealing and celebrating followed. I am so glad I didn't have to split the cases to find that little bad-word. Loretta's finally going back together, filled with oil and started, ran to operating temp and shut off last night. Hope to ride her to work tomorrow and put fresh rubber on the front. With the 'scopes all working and a couple of new magnetic tools I made, next time will be a breeze. Yesterday was a VERY good day.

My favorite route is Lyons-Allenspark-Estes-Loveland - Longmont. Best run during the week, week-ends are full of cops and tourists. I work at High Country and have Tue-Wed off. Gimme a call. Zack |

I rode up Boulder Canyon, went to Lyons and then did the same in reverse. Ran into a nasty thunderstorm on the way back, hail and everything. Fun fun. Great ride anyway. Zac, you didn't give me a number. I sent you a pm with mine. 970-799-0165 is my cell. If anyone wants to ride, send me a text or give me a call. |

Had a great ride today on the Yamaha WR dirt bike dual sport. Rode the frontage roads to Georgetown along I-70. Tried to get up Guenalla Pass to Waldorf road but was closed right at the base of Georgetown for road work. It opens and closes every two hours and I did not want to wait an hour so i headed down to the lake area along I-70 and then up the 4x4 road to the top of Saxon Mt. Its the big one that over looks the Lakes and has the power lines running up it on the west side. Just about at tree line at the top. Here are some pics if anyone is interested. http://www.5280dualsport.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f =16&t=553 JC |

Hey, does anyone on here need a hard cover for an 8 ft bed? I'm selling mine and would love to get rid of it prior to my leaving for Germany. |

Ryan, would it fit a 2005 Chevy long bed? Let us know and how much are you asking? |

Jewels, from what I can tell from their website, yes, it would fit. The rough dimensions I have for it from when I measured it is 8 ft long by 6 ft wide. I'm asking $500 OBO. (Message edited by cataract2 on August 03, 2010) |
