Curious to see some pics of the Garmin Zumo and Nuvi mounted to the Ulysses and what mounting systems that were used. |

I took one of these: http://www.aerostich.com/slipstreamer-radar-mount. html Stuck my Nuvi 200 into a Pelican 1010 clear plastic case. (I think it is a 1010.) Its a smaller Pelican that I bought at an REI or Dick's Sporting Goods off of the shelf. Stuck the grey super-tenacious Velcro to the back of the Pelican case and the face of the radar mount's plexi. Both stick pretty well to one another and the mount has a wide array of adjustment. I don't recall the mount costing nearly $40 though...seems like I spent $25 on it if I recall. I already had the Pelican 1010 case so that was just icing. I have to stop to make any route changes as the Pelican makes the touch screen inaccessible but maybe, while riding, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I haven't made a pass-through in the Pelican case for the power cable. That's next. Sorry for not posting pics. I'm in the middle of a 3 weeker through Canada, Michigan and Ohio on the road and away from the bike. Wish I was on the bike... RAM makes a mount and GPS enclosure that I saw a few months back and liked quite a bit. |

I have my Zumo mounted in the same place as cowboy's first pic. Also on a RAM mount. I have a tank bag so Doc's mounting point wouldn't work for me. |

Towpro, do you watch the latest movies on that thing? I use a RAM mount on my right side handlebar for my Garmin 2720. Don't have a pic right now though, but it looks a lot like Oldwesterncowboy's first pic, except on the right side, and without all the auxiliary stuff all over the handlebars! |

Hey Towpro, What unit is that on the windshield? Can't quite tell in the photo. |

Mine is on a touratech bar with a locking touratech mount. I have it adjusted so that I can just see underneath it for time/mileage clock. It's an expensive setup, but I've had it on 3 different bikes and it's the best. I never take the zumo out of the locking mount unless the bike is outside overnight. Yes, if someone really wanted it, they'd nab it. The peace of mind/simplicity is priceless for me. It's always in the bike, and I never have to think about securing it at the store or wherever I happen to be. (Message edited by jim_williams on July 15, 2010) |

It is a 9" USB monitor that is connected to a little Eee netbook, along with the GPS, a little track pad in the tank bag and Audio going to my Autocom. I run Delorme Topo software on the netbook. |

7873jake, I use slipstreamer windshields on all of our bikes. Here is that mount you referred to at a better price on Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/SLIPSTREAMER-RADAR-MOUNT-KIT -R-M-7/dp/B000GROIY6 |

I like Dkc46's setup: low and outa the way. Then I found out how to get it even more stealthy ... Parts list here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=142838&post=1822591#POST1822591 Be sure to get the power cable. The 500 only lasts about three hours at full-bright. -Nadz |

Towpro, That is almost exactly how I want to get mine set up. Is the USB screen waterrpoof, or are you relying on it being tucked down behind the windshield? -Brinton |

I can't go any lower or I won't be able to see it with the tankbag on. |

No it's not waterproof. I carry a bag to put over it, but on the way home from my last ride it rained for 4 hours and the monitor did seem to stay pretty dry without the bag (but it was turned off). I have a Madstad windshield which has the aluminum fly screen. I bolted a mount to the fly screen at the top, then the monitor mounts to that mount. The windshield still adjust fine with the screen on. Before I am happy with the system, I need to find the cause of the feedback when both the transmitter radio and laptop are being charged the same time. I did buy a new battery for the radio which should last all day between charges so that might be the fix. |

Will, let me know the size of your screen and I'll make a larger Buell Logo for it. I see your using the small one from the Zumo, pm your email address to me also |
