i was on vacation riding my Uly to Mt. Rushmore in 105 degree heat....by the way I never made it because the bike started back firing and running really bad so I shut it off. I let it sit for 20-25 mins and started out again and the bike ran fie for about 6 mi and then did the same thing. The longer you let it cool the longer it would run the next time. it didn't matter what rpm you ran it still did it popping and back firing. It never did die and it idled ok. i thought it might be a coil going out. I have an amp meter display and the amp meter lights remained all light up. I had a charging problem in the past and the amp meter went crazy. any help would be great. Al said he thought it might be the skip fire thing that they do to protect the engine but it started doing it again in 80 degree weather after riding for about 20 mins.
