The backlights on my '08 R LED flicker at all RPM's above idle. The timing of this seems to coincide with the last time I washed it and a bit of moisture was trapped under the clear face cover. It evaporated later that day. My battery is also just about cooked. I do see low 12's to mid 14's on the battery volt gauge when running. This morning's start just barely happened and the last time I rode it, I almost had to push start it. I am also noticing more RPM surge at low to mid engine RPM's. My bike has the latest ECM flash. Anyone else experience these symptoms? | ||

Put a tender on your battery. This ECM/IC doesn't like low voltage. Z | ||

Mine started blinking again. I already had one IC replaced, this will be my second in under 1,000 miles. | ||

Mine's done this since new..I really don't care since I don't stare at it when driving down the road. And NO battery voltage doesn't matter...unless its obviously very low, which mine hasn't been. I only use a charger when I'm gone for more than two weeks at a time. I drive my CR most everyday...pulsing dash board and all. Mike |
