I have decided to sell my crossroad -7 degree clip on bars that fit all XB Lightnings. I have developed tendinitis in my elbows from too much time working on the computers and the more aggressive riding position is not the best for my problem. So I had to put the stock bars back on. They have never been crashed, or hit the ground. They are in perfect shape. All mounting hardware is included. They really make a difference in how the bike handles. American Sport bike sells them for $250 plus shipping. I would like to get around $175 for mine. pjpeg{576540,}

How difficult are these to install? Any drilling, cutting, cable re-routing, etc. needed? |

I had no problem installing mine. I just had to be careful with the clutch cable routing as you can see in the second picture so their was no binding of the cable. Fits very well. Hardest part is getting off the left side grip that is glued on. Other than that, very straight forward bolt on. I have all the installation hardware that came with the bars. If you had any questions on installation, I would be glad to help you but really not hard to install. No cutting or drilling. I really wish I did not have to sell them but oh well. Everyone that I ride with that have these love them. The bike corners so much better with them. |

How about positioning...how much further forward do these put you from stock? Is a significant amount of weight on your arms with the new position? Thanks for your answers! I'm interested but just really wishing I could find someone who has them to get a feel for the position first... |

They move handlebars 4" forward and 3" down for a more sporting seating position. Reduces back fatigue due to wind. Highly recommended improvement to seating position on XB-S models. (this is a quote from American sport bike ad) How tall are you and your arm length? I can compare that with mine if you would like. |

I'm 6'4", 36-37" arms. I do think the position would be an improvement for my daily commute...almost 60 miles round trip, pretty much all interstate at ~80mph. |

Yeah, they would be much better for you than the stock bars. I am 5'8" tall with 25" length arms measured from arm pit to the center of my palm. I just had to reach and lean to much and as a result, put more body weight on my elbows that aggravated my problem. |

I also had a friend that was your size and he felt very cramped on his stock XB lightning. he put these same bars on his bike and they helped him a lot in his comfort and riding position on his bike. |

I'm not so much cramp (riding a lightning long), but I would like a little more aggressive position without it being too uncomfortable...something to get me down out of the wind a little more naturally. The looks of the crossroads really appeal to me, too! I'll let you know soon, have to see if I can figure out some way to spend some more money with the wife catching on...I don't suppose you are looking to trade for anything are you? |

Brother in Buells, I will keep you in mind if I do not sell them here in the United States. I do not know what it would cost and what would be involved in shipping to the Netherlands. |

OK, mine are not on the market yet, and they are -0 not -7. Sorry about that. Turns out after riding them for the first time today, I found I do like them on the highway. I need to make sure I like them around town too! If not, then they will be up for grabs. Thanks! |
