well depending on how an interview goes tomorrow morning I may have a race can for sale. Its currently installed on my firebolt (wouldnt recommend installing it on a ddfi3 bike) but i usually run it on my 04 XB12S. I am only selling it because I need the money.... I REALLY REALLY dont want to sell. the can has been ceramic coated (not rattle can...it has been professionally done) it was done about 3 years and 15000 miles, If I can keep it I will have it redone as it is starting to surface rust around where the header meets the can. (not much just a few spots I will have pictures for later) this can does have the normal dents on the bottom (will also post pictures for later) I have ridden around 30,000 miles with this can. Im not sure what to ask for it so I'm going to start off at 400 shipped to the continental us. please understand this is not a gaurentee I will see just a feeler with high probability...should know within the next few days. Like I said I really dont want to sell this as this is the can Erik Buell Racing told me a couple of days ago was the best one out there. It will be replaced by a drummer later when I can (both bikes will have a drummer) I am the original owner of both bikes this can has been on as well as the original owner of the can itself. please make offer and feedback just dont low ball as I am a Buell tech (laid off, thats why I am in this boat) and have been in this community for a while so I know these things are somewhat desireable. heres a few pics on the bike will post some off later. the can is ceramic coated black with the original silver ceramic coat on the tips with a bushed look. AGAIN this is not 100% yet but most likely I wont have a choice.

after taking my race can off the bolt i have discovered my race cans coating is better than my stock can off the bolt that only has 3000 miles on it anyway here are some more pics. dont afraid to make a offer. last pic is comparison of my stock exhaust and the race can. the one in worse shape is my 3000 mile stock can....kind of sad |

Let me give you a little advice from someone who has sold a race can. Go to Home Depot and grab a $6 can of BBQ paint. Give it a fresh coat of black. Throw it up on Ebay and watch the $500 come to you in 7 days. ac |

Who is gonna pay 500 dollars for a can that has been sprayed with cheap bbq paint covering a bunch of rust?... oh wait, you wouldn't disclose the cover-up.... you reap what you sow... |

Who said to "cover a bunch of rust"? To me a fresh coat of paint involves prepping the surface. Some time with a sanding/scotch brite wheel and some prepsol and it wouldn't be tough to lay a very nice coat of paint on that. ac |
