Well, I'm never taking the bike to Cape Cod again. We stayed right at the Ocean. The bike had to sit out,but I kept it covered at all times that I wasn't riding. Polished aluminum doesn't do well with salt air, but that's another story. At the end of the week without warning the bike wouldn't hit a lick. I'm getting spark, and I can hear the fuel pump cycle. A one shot of starting fluid gave it fire, but ended shortly. No throttle response, so it was only fired off the fluid. Anyone had issues with the injectors not firing? I'm not sure where to start looking. I don't know if the salt air corroded something so quickly or was it just bad timing? Any ideas?

I would check the fuses and the relay(s).
Simple things first.

The fuse box sockets corrode under NORMAL riding situations.
Get in there with a can of WD40 unplug each fuse, relay, and diode. Scrape the crud with a dull jack knife if you have to.

It that diamond ring fails to shine, check connectors, focusing on the safety B.S. like kickstand switch and clutch switch.

But I bet a bazillion-trillion internets that it's the fusebox.

injectors are largely trouble free
I would do Nates bit first as its easy to do ( swap the relays too )
the + 12v comes from the ignition circuit on the x1 and likely the S3
the ecm turns the ground on and off
to fire the injectors.

other possibles
crap in the tank
crap in the filter
no fuel pressure

Well, I've cleaned every fuse, relay and both clutch and kickstand connections with no change. I've got fuel pressure as well. I don't really know what else to check for. Is there a way to check the clutch, kickstand and bank angle sensor? I'm getting dangerously close to throwing in the towel and taking it to the dealer.

This sounds similar to an issue a friend posted here last year on his 2002 S3T. The bike was running well except for an occasional reluctance to start. He has many bikes so the S3T may sit for a couple of weeks from time to time. Anyway, it ran fine, he parked it, came back a week or 2 later to ride and it wouldn't start. Hooked up ECM Spy, ran its diagnostics, concluded it was in the fuel side, replaced the fuel pump and ....still no go. Finally took it to the dealer where they got it running by tapping the injectors. Gave the bike back to him after charging a few hundred for the diagnostics and shortly after, it would not run again. Now he knew the problem lived in the injectors, he replaced them, and it has been fine ever since.

When he ran ECM Spy, he didn't know that the injector test energizes the injectors and you should hear a click. If you have ECM Spy and run the injector test, you have to hear the injectors click.

If you don't have ECM spy, I would guess that you can check them by energizing them on and off with 12 volts. Before trying that, you might want to try tapping them as you run the starter.

Jumper the wires on the kickstand switch. Then you know for sure it is not the switch. My switch is just fine but i cut the wires and soldered them together. I have read of so many people getting stranded by this switch! So i fixed mine for good. I have never had to jumper the wires on the clutch so i don't know on that one.

its strange for two injectors to go down,

if the plugs are removed, turn the motor over and you should see a fuel mist exiting the plug holes, if not check fuel filter and wiring (you have already checked fuel pressure).
Jumper the clutch switch the same as stand switch.
Bank senor can be disabled in the ecm with ecm spy but should still run with it disconnected.

My X1 had the same symptoms a few months ago. I replaced the coil, the cam position sensor and something else, don't remember, but anyway mine ended up being the speed sensor. Seems when it goes bad it acts as a kill switch because it's fed from the ECM. Try unplugging it and firing it up, that is if they're the same and your speedo runs off the trans.
