This forum really helped me out with my Blast, but now it's time to move it on. Age is getting to me, and even the fairly mild riding position of the Blast is getting painful. A Cherry Red 2000 Buell Blast with some minor mods. To improve its look, I removed the factory decals, added a yellow stripe, trimmed plastic around the taillight, powder coated the rear foot peg mounts, polished the rear brake and shift lever, added a Sportster points cover powder coated red, painted the tire hugger, clutch cover and frame between fuel tank and tail section red, and the wheel centers black, smoked the taillight and rear turn signals, and added aftermarket handlebars and mirrors. To improve the drivability, installed Buell Pro One air cleaner, Vance & Hines head pipe with SuperTrapp muffler, (the V&H muffler was painfully loud), jetted the Carb, IAW the forum, and installed Pirelli tires. Resealed the Rocker box as well. It includes a Buell windshield and tank bag, high and low seat, and a red medium size full faced helmet. I have most of the original parts except the muffler which rusted off. Two issues, the coil bracket broke off, and I used nylon electrical ties to attach it to the frame. Hasn't gone anywhere. The V&H headpipe is getting surface rust. REALLY makes me unhappy. No more V&H for me. I have 3 bikes and I only rode 3 times last year, and a couple this year. I want to start fixing my classic car. Would be great to have this go to a blaster. 330-990-seven zero four nine, $1900 OBO.
