i have an 01 blast, getting oil leaking from the top left side above the spark plug. i've heard it could be the rocker box gasket. how hard it to replace?

Not hard, just a bit of a pain.
Nothing is hard on these buggers, just takes a bit of time.
Do you have the service manual? If not, get one, they are well worth the price.
