So I am thinking that the Sandwiches on Friday night are still a good thing. Let me know if you have any other ideas. Also last year we got 3 - 6 footers. This year I am going to only order 2 with the trimmings. We had so much left over, we ate it on Sat. I would rather we all go out to the Mexican place or order the parking lot pizza again. That's my plan and I am sticken to it!!  If you have other ideas share them!! | ||

Hi riders, It's been a long winter and spring doesn't want to give way to summer this year but hopefully SPLASH will be warm again this year! I did manage to get a ride in with a couple of friends to the Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally in Baker City, OR last weekend. Hey Loni I got this really cool turkey deep fryer for Christmas and now I’m addicted. Maybe I could bring it for SPLASH and we could all gather round and deep fry some good ole turkeys. After that maybe we could toss in some spuds too. The sky’s the limit when ya got one of these er things. I’m thinking of writing the deep fry bible for everything and ever occasion. Hey Steve That's great news. Here’s some more good news. I was deep frying up some Snicker bars last night and I'll say, once I figured out that beer batter helps keep the chocolate and caramel from running into the oil, there ain’t nuttin better. Just got back from the Mountians. Chris and I were gone for 5 days campin out doing nothing but what we wanted. Felt so good to be on vacation. Weather was great!! Rode the bikes up to Timberline Lodge one day, walked around for awhile. Alot of snowboarders taking advantage of the Palmer Glacier. Almost year round skiing there. Had some Canadians (younger guys) camping close to us. On the side of there van it said "Lookin for Mt. Hood". Every morning they would pack up the boards and not come back until dinner. Jimmy, so do you plan to strap that Turkey fryer on to the bike when you come down? Put a sign on the back "Turkeys Needed!!" And when you get here we are going to have to talk about you counting some calories and maybe joining the gym!! Hey, Shotgun and Micheal, maybe the two of you could get together on a room?? I don't have much space here at the moment. Daughter is still here for at least another month or year, who knows...Just glad she is here. 14 days until we are all together agian!! I am really looking forward to seeing everyone. Doh! Dam turkey deep fryers anyway! You should have see it, I had this awesome deep fryer back pack all made up and ready to go, so I thought I’d better give it a test run down the most similar roads to the SPLASH landscape I could find. All was well and this was going to be a lavish feast of the most wonderful deep fried woodcock in southern Washington, but disaster loomed ahead. The road started to resemble a plate of Grandma’s spaghetti twisting and turning in an effort to satisfy my insatiable appetite to chew the chicken strips off my fresh Pilot Powers. They it happened. My a$$end felt as wide as a Mac truck, hanging out in oncoming traffic, then seconds later almost busting out over the guard rail on my right. What I found when I stopped surprised even me. The lid on the deep fryer had loosened allowing frying oil to pour out like my stomach over a waist line. The rear tire was soaked in deep fryer oil. Now I know how SportyEric muct have felt riding the Hope-Princeton when his starter loosened up and puked tranny fluid all over his tire. Slick move that's for sure. My desire to consume the chicken strips on my new Pilot Powers would have to wait and other day, and the plan to bring the tailgate party to Woodland on a motorcycle was proving to be just a dream.
