New to Tubers but not Harleys. Been shimming up the neglected S3 - Front rotor/brake pads/line, rebuilt front forks, primary chain/tensioner, etc. Top end is oil dry as is primary. Have oil dripping on left side rear after 100 mile ride - appears to be dry on drive side. Starter o'ring? Appreciate any insight. Cooper |

Check your oil lines on where they hook to the tank or the breather may be routed over to that side? |

If it is wet under the starter with no sign that it is coming from the cylinder base gasket then it is very likely that it is the starter gasket. the new gasket design is vastly improved! |

then it is very likely that it is the starter gasket. OR the stator plug. I have replaced a Starter gasket thinkin the same thing but still leaked. I noticed the oil coming out the stator plug. I pulled the plug and put RTV, re installed an no more leaks. So if you replace the Starter gasket, pull the plug an pop some Oxygen sensor safe RTV on her... |

Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll open up the primary again. |

FYI You can replace the starter gasket without removing the header OR clutch basket... |
