dug this up out of the archives. http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/ 530440.html?1263785230 unless you run the tube to the bottom of the catch can then it may pull any standing liquid back into the tank when it cools. has any one tried this? does it work? Pics? |

I wouldn't recommend it. The fuel that leaks out will concentrate as some of it evaporates, and it will pick up moisture. Drawing this crap back up the vent tube into the tank would likely plug the tube over time and put junk in the tank that you don't need. The small amount of fuel lost through this process isn't worth recovering, as you are constantly replacing it with fresh fuel. Loss of coolant is another story. The recovery tank allows the system to remain completely full as it expands and contracts with changes in temperature. Small losses over time would eventually suck air into the system. |

Can someone post pics of a set up they have used? I don't care about the fumes as my bike lives outside just am sick of the fuel that drips on the ground. |
