Hey guys. I was tired of my exhaust blowing on my swingarm so I made a new outlet for my jardine muffler. An exhaust fabricator friend saw it and said he could build me one out of stainless. Anyone else interested in one? I could probably have him whip up a couple. I didn't ask a price but I don't imagine they will be horribly expensive.

I might have him tweak it a little, but here is what the one I made looks like. New one left, Right is whats under the stock carbon cap.

why would you pay for aftermarket exhaust then pay to have it altered

Mine was installed by the dealer under warranty (stock muffler had a bad weld). This was when slip on choices were more limited than they are now. So a couple bucks to solve the outlet problem or $500+ for a new exhaust? Answer seems easy to me.

or some people bought their exhaust at a great price , even though it wasn't the best option available, but you spend a few extra bucks, modify it a bit , and you have a better system, and still keep ALOT of extra change in your pocket compared to buying it retail.

Why do people buy a house, then go in and remodel it.???

because its their choice and their money...

give me an idea of what you are talking about, his looked like a pretty good fitment to me.

I also think i would prefer stainless rather than the powdercoat/paint.

Those are awesome looking Albert, but i am sure they would cost WAY more than I could afford right now.

What kind of power gains did you see with those.??

I'm just letting this thread soak a couple days to see who all wants one. I'll try and get a hold of him soon to get a price and timeline.

Ok, I have to get him my tip so we can go over the details and see what its going to cost. I'll post up after that and make a list of who all wants one.

The timeline is still kind of open ended since he and I both have trips coming up, and he's doing this in his spare time. I wouldn't plan on having them before the end of July just in case. I'm not going to collect any money until the finished product is in my hands though.

I'll try and get him to shoot me some pics to post of stuff he's done in the mean time.
