That info is in the service manual and you can get one at the H-D store, you need to have one if you plan to work on it yourself...that way the info you have is in print that you can use when needed. |

I actually never really understand keef's type of post, "yeah its in the book that I have, but I'm not going to tell you". I'll be doing the same thing and have ordered the parts and the service manual, but would like to know about others experience. So Rake41, if you don't mind posting about your experience after to finish I would appreciate it. |

Keef's point is that the SM is an invaluable asset and you should have on hand when performing this kind of work regardless of what other info you can gain from Badweb. I would go and pick it up from wherever it is thats 200 miles away, that would make for a nice afternoon ride |

The guy probably can't ride 200 miles to go get it if he's got to replace clutch seals. |

So here's the thing. The SM is not task oriented. To accomplish the task of removing the hydraulic lines, remove the cover, remove the old actuator. The procedures for inserting the actuator and reassemble is too much to convey on BadWeb. I've looked through my SM to see if I can be of help, but it is not possible w/o scanning a few pages from the manual and send through email. A PM does not allow attachments. So it ain't as easy as 1,2,3 to help out Rake41. |
