There some new forks on ebay, that say they fit a 98 S1, part #'s 46095-98Y and 46096-98Y. I had thought that the only S1 made in 98 was the S1W, but the sellers don't know if they fit a S1W. Anyone here know? |

All forks for tubers interchange save for the M2 Showa conventional forks. The S2 WP's are a bit longer, and have the adjusters set up differently (compression and rebound on both legs) and the '96-'98 WP's are physically identical. In '98 they changed the damping up a little bit, adding more rebound damping to the shim stack. It's the same for the S1 or S1W. The '99-'02 USD Showa's also bolt right on, but I like the WP's as they are simpler. |
