As per my other thread my Barker needs to be repcaked and I have a couple of questions: 1) Should the inner baffle tube be attached at all? 2) Does it HAVE to be removed from the bike or can I do it in situ if I use a right angled drill to take off the rivets? 3) Can I just remove one end cap or do both need to come off? 4) What's the name of the stainless steel wadding, as I can't be arsed with doing this every 1000 miles! Must admit I am a bit disappointed |

Have you been running the quite core? I can look in my tip and see mine still has plenty of packing. I am pretty sure it would be easiest to unbolt the front pipe and take the can off. I think you just need to remove the rear cap to pack it. I have about 5k on mine. I will pm you tim's number give him a call i am sure he will help you out |

No, I wasn't running the quiet core until this weekend, I guess that probably won't have helped LOL I've dropped Tim an e-mail, hopefully he'll get that tomorrow and respond Thanks for the info |

I blew mine out as well I got about 1K miles on mine but I might have got it soaked in a deluge and that could have caused the failure but it all of a sudden got really loud and I am running a 1 1/2" QC |

Hi Jules if you haven't got the email yet Mike will be sending you a new muffler to just bolt on. We have had a few of these happen and are working with the packing company on what is going wrong. If anyone else has had a problem please let us know so we can fix it. Tim |

Tim I have the mail and I think that's AWESOME, I feel guilty now for saying I was disappointed. I am in the UK so you really must let me pay the shipping, I'll be happy with that (more than happy in fact). I'll reply to the mail immediately, before I wake up and find this is a dream LOL. Can't begin to tell you how impressive that is Tim, you're an absolute star! |

Tim was/is this a specific run of pipes? I have all of my sales in dated order should we need to be looking for certain pipes. Mine is still holding up well. |

Got the shipping notice from USPS - thanks again Tim.. Still feel guilty about the "disappointed" comment but I'm really excited about the fact that the replacement is in black |

I am even more impressed with the whole Barker phenomenon now. That's what I call customer service. Great can, great, tune (from Erik Buell Racing) and great post sale support. You rock. |

I rode with a guy last night with a 1125r with a barker on it. That this sounded mean. i knew exactly where he was at all times. and that was over my spec ops on my XB9R. |

BTW you can get "scrubble" from Burns. Makes you realize what a great deal these hand made exhausts are when you see that just a Burns muffler costs more than a whole Barker set up. Been finding Barker exhausts on eBay too at a good price new. Keep up the good work T. |

My daughter just called to say a package has arrived from Barkers. That's absolutely unbelievable - how on earth did you manage to get it to the UK so quick? Can't wait to get off work to go home and fit it now! Once again - I am amazed at the standard of service Tim and the guys offer, the product itself is fantastic but the level of after care is the best I have come across in years. I can't recommend them highly enough - amazing |

Add a tune from Fuel Solutions and your at where the next good pipe is price wise. (Message edited by puzzled on July 07, 2010) |

You take one look at the mid pipe! That is purely subjective. To much fuss has been made over nothing. } |

I like that conical midpipe: it bespeaks "engineering" even though I have no idea what it does I also like the fit and finish of the Barker. And I especially like the pricing. |

Collectors can do a lot to influence flow. I have only seen pictures of the Barker so I may be off base. The Barker collector appears to be a flattened cone design. It looks to be well thought out. |
