Just a quick question. I decided to replace my front rotor and pads myself instead of paying someone. I guess I should have researched it a bit more because I have a question. How do I know where to exactly put the rotor on the rim before I do my final tightening of the bolts. There is now way that I can get it exactly centered. What do I do? It know the question has been asked before so can someone help this lost shade tree mechanic or send me the link to the topic. Thanks |

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...and I'd have to check my manual...but my common sense is kicking in, and it's a *floating* rotor so you don't have to have it exact to the MM. It can wiggle and shift a bit on the floating mounts, as needed. You do have a manual, yes? |

Which rotor? The Erik Buell Racing 6mm one? I don't recall any white dot to line up with anything, and as you put it in you will see how it self centers. Just tighten it down gradually going around all the bolts on the rim. |

Thanks, I needed to go by the HD in Topeka today so I just took the wheel with me and they clarified everything for me. |
