Hi gents. I couldnt find anything via search, but was hoping those that have bought recently or been looking could give me an idea of what the 2010 CR's are going for. Or if they are all gone. I live in CA. |

There was one in MI with 700 miles for $8k. The Grand Rapids stealership has a few new on the floor models for $8-$8.5k even though they still get the same rebate as the fire sale days. |

If it isn't Cali - it will not be allowed in till around 7000 miles later - defeats the purpose. EZ |

I saw a CR at Orange County HD today. I didn't notice the year or price, but it does have the high bars on it, and its red. I can call tomorrow.... |

Erich, According to Buell's Bike Finder, only 2 new Buell's exist in California: both XBs, one is a 2007, the other is a 2009. I had to go to Carson City, NV to get my bike. "stateline" dealers are able to make sales to California residents, you just have to pay sales tax and use tax to BOTH states, then go through the physical inspection process at DMV. Some offices (DMV) can make it a real pain in the a$$. Depending on your location in California, Arizona has several Buells available (unfortunately Nevada now has only 2 Buells available also, both XBs, again). Good luck in your search. Try the following link to help hunt. {http://www.buell.com/en_us/tools/find-a-bike/index .asp,http://www.buell.com/en_us/tools/find-a-bike/ index.asp} |

The Buell finder isn't real accurate these days.I called the local about a bike it showed on the Buell site and it was long gone. I called another in the state about 1125's and they are all gone also. |

you can't bring and register a new vehicle purchased outside of CA, unless it has 7,500 miles on the odometer. Check with the CA DMV to be safe. |

Just saw two brand new ('09'?) CR's on the local dealer floor for $6995.0. Pissed me off as I had to really haggle to get $7300.00 on my R last November. Call Mancuso Crossroads HD. Ask for Robin. Good luck. (Message edited by philp on June 15, 2010) |

Porky, As long as the bike is 50 state legal, which means it meets California emission requirements, the old 7.5K rule doesn't apply. I bought my Buell in Nevada and registered it here in California, no problem since it had the correct sticker on it. Same with an 07 Ducati I bought in Seattle, Washington a couple years ago, the bike was 50 state legal and I registered it here without a problem. |

The bike I saw at Orange County Harley is used. Its an 09 CR with 11,000 miles and they are asking $8995. Are prices going up? |

Yep, you have to call. My point was they are few and far between. Porky, ditto Johnnys999. Don't tell me it can't be done, I did it. As Johnnys999 said, it has to be 50 state legal, in other words, have what is considered a CA VIN. The best way to locate your bike, Erich, is to get with a dealer who will work with you, that's what I did. They started looking around in "the system" (whatever that is) and found me CA VIN bikes nearby California. It took a little footwork, and a long trip to pick up my bike, but it was worth it. As a bonus, I was able to put A LOT of miles on my bike riding it home. Ezblast hit the nail on the head: so few of these bikes were made it will be hard to find new. Let's face it, in 2009 alone HDMOCO CVO bike production numbers ranged from 2250 to 4200 per model. Total production numbers for Buell are somewhere around 6K? They are scarce. Thanks gents. Guess its no surprise. I actually went to Carson HD and test rode a bike I passed on due to the lies / omissions of fact. Later that day I ended up at Carson Suzuki and bought a new B-King for a steal. But I'd like to add one of these to the garage. Sucks to hear they are that scarce, but they were flying out the door for a time last year. I shouldnt have given it this much time for sure. Lesson learned. Search goes on for a CA legal bike. The TX dealers are 49 state only. Cheers

It is my understanding that a VERY small handful of 2010 CR's were made. Best of luck finding one. |

Duphuckincati, The B-Kings got for about $8000 or so, roughly 5K from list. Still a number left new. Funky looks for sure, unfortunate since its actually a nice bike. Thanks Nickg, unfortunately the CA smog nazi's dont consider a bike used till its got 7500 miles on the clock (only can bring in used 49 state bikes), if not you can register it. |
