Belly pan the culprit? I vote yes. And I agree, no racing until you've gone over everything and prepped it for the worst case scenario! Congrats on the subsequent triumphs. |

gdkp - As the "crotchrocket" web page notes...he got the covers from "Taylor Made". This is a good picture...I've never seen a cover that was actually "used"...! Good to hear both you and the bike made it out with just minor damage. Mike |

Looks like the TaylorMade did its job. You think they're reusable? |

Rob - Just a note, you may want to make sure to get that PitBull stand in a bit further on the swingarm. You should be sure to have two pads under the arm, and that third on the back of it. I've had my stand rotate and the bike almost fell because of positioning the stand about like you have it. (I was lucky to be right next to it when it started moving) |

As 99buellx1 said, case savers at Erik Buell Racing. And thanks for the tip on the stand 99buellx1. Sliders at American Sportbike Drawkward - I'm gonna pick up some Kevlar and Carbon cloth and resin today to see if I can make an effective repair. there is still quite a bit of material left on the saver, but it wore into the Kevlar which is the abrasion layer. |

That's bugger all damage as far as crash goes, glad you're ok and the bike too. For the case covers the Photo says "Taylor Made" are these the same or better than the Erik Buell Racing ones, has anyone seen or sampled them both? (Message edited by Bitey83 on June 22, 2010) |

Erik Buell Racing gets them from Taylor Made Racing. I happen to live very close to Taylor Made so I picked them up at the shop to save time and shipping. Price was the same. |

I suggest to others out there to support Erik Buell Racing where possible. |
