Is it the stock ECM, if so you need a tune it will run far to lean. That would explain all your popping. |

^^ what he said.. You can't just change the exhaust and expect all to be well i'm afraid. It needs more fuel.. It will "learn" new settings after a while but they still won't have enough fuel in there to correct the lean base map.. A dyno tune (easy does one over the net) or a Erik Buell Racing ECM is what you need.. |

If you want to try something cheap, try the "denoiding" proceedure, which can be found on this website. I put a HMF Racing muffler on my '08 1125r and K&N air filter while still using the stock ecm, and it ran good, but a night and day difference when I went to the Buell Racing ecm. Jardine does have a performance module calibrated for the rt5 muffler. |

There have been a few posts on here before, have a quick search. There are people who have/may still use it. Personally i don't like the "band-aid" approach and would rather have it done properly. Either a remap or an Erik Buell Racing ECM |

Just get the Erik Buell Racing ECM, it's hands down the easiest way to go. Personally I wouldn't mess with the protune module. |
