Of course, my GPS indicates otherwise. I had earlier inquired about a jumpy tach, and after quite a bit of farting around fixed it by re-seating the ECM connectors. Yesterday something sort of related occurred. I found that the Speedometer was indicating a much lower speed than I was moving. At times, the GPS indicated 60 and the speedo 30. Other times they were close. It wasn't jumping around, it was just not getting up to where it needed to be. I have no correlation with anything else. In other words, it seemed speed, moisture, and elevation independent. I could understand the needle jumping around due to an intermittent connection but registering half? Is there a question in here somewhere? Yes. How does the speedometer read speed? Is it current to the gauge? In that case, would resistance cause the low reading? Anybody seen this? I get no CEL and no other indications either digital nor visceral of poor performance. |

Pull your speed sensor and wipe it clean then reinstall. |
