Hi, I am looking for a tube frame Buell for a project. I would prefer an X1 but would gladly take any 98-02 model for the right price. I am willing to travel 300 miles from LA/OC area to make a deal. Yuma/LV is as far West as I will travel. Condition wise, anything running, must be mechanically sound, cosmetically anything goes really. Mileage is unimportant. Clear title is essential. Black frame is best, body color anything. Modifications unimportant. Price range, I would love to keep it under 3000 for an x1, and ideally I would want to pay 2000 for any model that needs a lot of cosmetic work, new forks, etc. Thanks for looking. |

man, have i got a project for you. the bikes a 97 S3T. i have two complete body kits for it, both need work. carbon fiber front and rear fenders. i think i have three front fairings and two fairing supports. two different dash setups. one stock 97, the other is off a 99 or 2000. PM wheels with track tires for know, but have a three hundred dollar avon for the rear. Corbin Gunfighter and Lady, low profile, another Corbin same style regular height. a couple of Mikuni HSR42 carbs. two header pipes, one stock with clean Vance & Hines canister. the other is a factory race header that has seen better days but is sound, i had some free time and patched it up with some thin plate i had laying around. oh the rear rim needs work, someone ( not me )loosened the bolts, and these bolts are two inches long, and yes we use lock-tite. any way the bolts came in contact with the swing arm. doing some, man it did a lot of damage. but if you have a tig welder you can patch er up. and the motor could use some freshening up. smokes a little, a little irritating if you ask me. i would not be selling it, but i'm not working right now and am unable to apply the money to correct these things. oh, by the way i live in Sacramento. Another thing, I built a small trailer for it. it's small enough that it stores easily. yet has enough room for the bike tools, fuel tank and extras. I was thinking with all the extra parts, the bike and trailer three grand would be about right. thanks for your time James (916)471-9876 |

Check Craigslist los Angeles. A few listings in the 3K range. They look to be in better shape than what you are looking for, but the price is in your range. One ad says "Need the money!" Maybe if you flash cash you can get a real deal. Example http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/mcy/180166332 3.html |

Thanks extreme, I'll keep it in mind. I found a pretty good X1 for 3250, but really wanted to spend less than 2500, especially for an M2. Like I said, something that needs a little work would be best. Does not need to be pretty. Keep em coming please. |
