quote:I heard the Wy trip to Saratoga is off. The place got booked up. Bummer for those who were hoping to go.
I have not heard that yet but I am sure Dave will send out an email. Our alternate plan is to meet a Bueller from the East Coast (Skinstains) at 11 Mile where he will be camping... (25th of this month is anyone is interested) Another BadWebber (Batimus) from AZ will be here on the 5th of July but we will meet them in Lake City the 4th... Ryan, all that bitchen and you are going to wait to install it????? That is hilarious... Better get that dinner ready. |

Frank, it's installed. Just can't test it. Will do so going to work tomorrow. What better time to test it anyways as I will need something fun to do on the way to work. |

Ok, Rider report on the Erik Buell Racing Race ECM. First thing noticed is the COLD flashing is gone. It shows the coolant temp with no flash to it. Bike's idle is set to 1400 RPM. Now, the drive report. The bike seems more smoothed out. Less vibs in the bars if not nearly gone. I find that in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears you can ride at 2000 RPMs and when you twist the throttle it will pull smoothly out of that range. At 4-6 gears it will cruise in the 2K range and will pull out though when it's close to 2K you might want to just downshift as it kinda lugs but nothing bad and once about 2.5K it pulls out smoothly. Now, what you all want to know, power. Yeah, the bike pulls harder now. It certainly added power to the bike. Just cruising in 6th at around 60mph and twisting the throttle the bike will pull upwards to 80 and beyond with no trouble at all. It certainly does it faster than when stock. Heat, the bike runs cooler. I haven't had a chance to really test it yet, but I noticed that while moving this morning when it was 65F out (on the AT) the bike was running at 162F for the CT. When it was 90+F out this afternoon it would sit around 168-172F. That is certainly much cooler that it would be with the stock ECM. Any questions? |

So far, its seems like it solved a lot of the 1125 running bad at lower rpms problems that I have heard about. I think a must have if you own a 1125. Keep us posted as you put more miles on her. |

Nathan called me this morning and said he had the day off and he wanted to do a little ride. I said sure lets go. Headed to Evergreen from Morrison then to Conifer then 285 to Fairplay then over Hoosier Pass to Breckenridge then to Dillon then over Loveland pass then I70 to Idaho Springs and then the back roads to Morrison. Almost 200 miles. Just a little ride! What a beautiful day for a ride in the Mountains. Never saw a bluer sky than today. We also had fun chasing a porche carrera from the west side of Loveland pass to the top. He was trying like hell to drop us but we were not going to let that happen! GO BUELL! |

Groan, I woulda loved to ride today. Needing to put new rubber on the bikes though and what should have been done by noon I just finished now. Was doing the rear on the XB and was installing the new 2010 wheel for it. Well, I got the sprocket off, got to the rotor and the last f***ing torx bolt rounded itself. Spent the next 3 hours working that thing to get it off. Sigh... |

I'm back from Wisconsin. Thanks to Dan for loaning me the rack; I'll have more info for you when I ride up to return it. Thanks to Bob and Diane, Frank and Lynn, and Zac and his brother Chris for helping me get there and back without suffering too much. Great journey, great experience, and great to be home! |

Hey everyone, I have decided to sell my crossroad -7 degree clip on bars that fit all XB Lightnings. I have developed tendinitis in my elbows and the more aggressive riding position is not the best for my problem. So I had to put the stock bars back on which solved my pain. They have never hit the ground and no wheelies with them. They are in perfect shape. They really make a difference in how the bike handles. Anyhow, before I put them in the Badweb classifieds for sale, I thought I would try offering it to all of you first. American Sport bike sells them for $250 plus shipping. I would like to get around $175 for mine. If interested, call John (me) at 303-985-9292. |

So John, I guess we must be getting older. Now I don't feel so bad putting the high bars on the CR |

Yeah Julie we are. I really liked the crossroad bars as you know but this winter I developed tendinitis or tennis elbow from too much time on the computer working over the years. This spring it has just been irritating to ride but since the weather has gotten nice and I started putting in longer miles, the problem got worse. When I ride the dirt bike with the upright bars, no pain. So I had to do something. I rode 220 miles yesterday on the Buell and no problem. Doesn't handle as well but that's ok. |

I post this in the events section of our little area of the BadWeb but just case I will post here... 10 - 11 July is the Gunnison run with the Denver group. The Denver Group will be meeting at RM H-D/Buell about 8:30 -leave about 9:00. Their route is 285 to Buena Vista and then Independence Pass to Aspen and then up to Carbondale and over McClure pass. Lodging in Gunnison is at the Alpine Inn, room rates are about $69 and they have a pool and hot tub for relaxing after the ride. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Phone # is 1-866-299-6648 JCBikes, man I know just how you feel... I have disability due to back probelms and of course I bought two bike that were hard on my back (Firebolt and 1125R) which I have since sold. Event the 95 S2 with the stock bars and pegs gets me after about 50 miles. The S2T is perfect in that respect. As a matter of fact the 1125CR with the raised bars and lower pegs reminds me a lot of the ergos of the S2T.... I know I am getting old. I just did not expect it to happen so soon. |

Hey, question for all you Buell owners in here. I thought I'd ask in here first before I post in the Classifieds section. I have 2 wheels for the XB or 1125 for sale. One is off my XB with 50K on it and still in good condition. The other is off my 1125R with only 3K on it and it's in excellent condition. I'm selling the XB wheel with bearings in it for $100 + shipping and the 1125R wheel with bearings in it for $175 + shipping. There will be no shipping if you live close or we can work out some way to pick them up. I thought I'd give all the CO people dibs first on the wheels. I will have pictures up ASAP (basically when I get time to get the old tires off). PS: Forgot to mention. Both wheels come with the axle as well. (Message edited by cataract2 on June 30, 2010) |
