Dual-sporting around Snowshoe, West Virginia last weekend, I tipped over and snapped off the clutch lever on my 2005 Uly. Perch and everything else is OK, just need the lever.
The nearest Buell dealer is a ways off, but all other major brand dealerships are local.
I'd read somewhere that Suzuki GSXR levers fit XB's, but I'm not sure which years or models of Suzuki or Buell.

Any recommendations for replacement?

Thanks

Was that with the factory handgaurds in place? I wondered how well they protect the levers... might be a good reason to invest in some cheap bark busters to avoid a ruined ride... or to just pack a cheap set of extra levers in a tool tube...

Al at American Sportbike would know (and stock) replacement levers...

I did the exact same thing not too long ago. American Sportsbike will get you going again for around $20. Great people, great service.

I drill a hole in my levers about an 1 1/2" from the end if it is'nt already notched. That way, incase I drop the bike, it gives the lever a place to break so hopefully I wont break the whole lever off.

I was on engineers pass down between Ouray & Silverton CO at over 12,000 and pushed my Uly over trying to get back on after a photo opp at the sign. I was on a steep mound and knew I couldn't mount from the left side of the bike.

Hand guard moved right out of the way so that the clutch lever could take the brunt of the fall. If that wasn't bad enough, after taking gear off to lighten the load and upright the bike up-hill, it started snowing. Funny thing was, had a spare clutch lever, 700 miles north in my garage!

I also need those bark buster things. It's funny to me that the brake lever is about $50.00 where the clutch one is only $17.00.

Great data, thanks! I have real barkbusters on all the dirt bikes, and was wondering if it was worth putting them on the Uly. Sounds like it is...

Hi,

I broke a brake lever and bought a replacement and then drilled clutch and brake. Check these links out:
