Any well tuned Nitro Harley.
The rest don't come close.

That Latus sounds excellent, like the quiet version of my 96S1's D&D megaphone.

Gotta say, nothin sounds like a tuber with a Force : D. I love my S2's sound, even though the motor is stock 9:1 CR. I'd love hear what my dream motor build would sound like... 90"XL motor with Feuling 4-valve heads, 12.5:1 CR, Delphi EFI, twin Race A/Cs and a Force style exhaust!

Yep, Honda Six's are cool. CBX and Valkyrie.

Ariel Square four.

RC 51

Yamaha twin jet 100, and the Hodaka 100 super rat

The first Honda 750 four, and the Kawasaki triple 500.

My Buell M2 with the Vance and Hines, around 3,000-5,000 rpm.

I'm a fan of how the V-Rod Destroyers sound, after that the new R1s sound amazing...2 completely different types of sounds though. Sometimes I like to feel the bass of an engine, other times I love hearing the scream of sky high RPM limits.

1190RR. So incredibly cool sounding at Miller, and performance to go with the sound!

Watching the video Chevycummins posted reminded me of another really great sound of performance. Not a bike but nothing like a P51 Mustang at 400+ MPH rounding one of the pillons, with its Merlin engine screaming, at the Reno air races. Earth shattering and what helped keep us all safe and win WWII. And what a "ride"!!!

I always loved the sound of a 2 stroke racer I will always remember a guy we raced with back in the day had a Maico and it was the coolest sounding bike I ever heard. I would buy one of those today if I could.

850 Commando is not bad, original Triumph Bonneville might be better. +1 on the P51.

2006 Honda RC211V - 990cc V-Five, no mufflers, 16,500 rpm, MotoGP Champion - 'nuff said!

Followed closely by the 990cc Ducati Desmosedici MotoGP bikes, especially the GP6.

P-51's and P-38's are the two most intoxicating sounds of that era. Buell's have their own sounds too.

Erik must be a WWII Airplane fan. P-38 Lightning's and P-47 Thunderbolts were planes and Cyclone's were engines.

A roundcase bevelhead with Contis is about as sweet a sound as comes out of a motorcycle. Beyond that you need a large round engine with a P&W or Wright nameplate, or a v12 that says Allison or RR on it somewhere...

I'll cast my vote for
1) rc51
2) VFR with after market exhaust
3) Ducati w/ Arrow exhaust

Ironhead Sportys with cheapo drag pipes has always sounded great to me. Rough, raw and crude...

On the opposite end, a Ferrari V12... that's just a perfect song...

Worst? my old CB350 when I thought it would be a 'good idea' to gut the stock mufflers... oops....
