Relax, sip your coffee, read the jsonline.com, crunch some numbers, all will be well. Irrelevant, but all in fun. |

Hi All...Did the State Fair last night and really had a great time. No cow barns for me, I went straight for the music areas and found some really great groups. If you haven't already gone to the State Fair after dark, I suggest you do so asap. |

Want to buy a couple of tickets? $6 each. Got them from work and probably won't use them, I'll have to verify that before releasing them though. |

Question...Just got an email from Gerry Dolphin about the Buell 20th. The email included an attachment that Windows XP Pro sent up all sorts of warnings about. Ergo I deleted it without attempting to open it. Anyone know what it was and if it contains any important information? |

Mike...I remembered your previous posting about Gerry's virus problem once before (not to mention all the bells, whistles, red flags and sirens my system shot off) and was wondering if this was a repeat or something new. Of interest, I tried sending Gerry and email a few days ago and got the auto-reply that he was out until August 11th. Duh...makes you wonder if this a resurrected virus. Oh well, if it is important, I am sure he will find a way of sending it without all the problems. |

I read part of the latest message without opening the attachment and he's basically asking for volunteers for the Aug.20th breakfast with setup starting between 7-7:30am. This is just from memory as I've already deleted the email due to the attachment and should by no means be construed as something official regarding club activities. I'm just a member of the club and in no way speak for the club. YMMV

Gerry is on vacation this week, so I'm guessing you used his work address, thus the message. His home address is a roadrunner account. Patches: Yes one patch per paid membership. Other patches can be purchased, final price will be decided at the next meeting. Buell 20th breakfast: Yes, we need volunteers to help with set up and the take down at Hal's on August 20th, starting around 7-7:30 a.m. I'll be there. Anybody care to join me? Jerry |

I'll know by the 12th if I can help out that morning. I've already got the vacation day approved. Put me down for a probably maybe somewhat definitely. (Hey, if I help can I add this to my resume as kitchen helper? Might be needing to jobshift in the somewhat near future. Hopefully won't be needing to BRAGclubshift as well.) |

Road America Baby! . State of the Track Report. I spent aug 5th and 6th turning laps with sportbiketracktime.com. I put about 200 miles on my bike and probably ROASTED about 1000 miles off my tires! Woo! I hooked up with 2 dudes, one from iowa and another from new jersey. Should have some photos soon as well, maybe even a bit of video. Great guys, hope to hook up with them again. They added a new chicane (spelling?) to the kink for safety now. Its a hard left and then a hard right. It was giving me fits for most of tuesday, but by the end of tuesday I was filing the corners off my boots with the pavement. I also manged to demo ride an aprilla Mille. 1000cc vtwin, with about a 13000 red line if I recall correctly. Certainly was a strange transition. My S3 digs hard and strong out of the turns, where as the apprilla had to be spun up to 5 or 6 grand on the tach before she delivered power to the pavement. Regardless, it was a blast to ride, just different! Got more than a few comments about my race exhaust nearly blowing folks off the track. Their exaggeration, not mine. heheh Its a great learning experience. Ron

Hey all...Just received an email from Rick announcing that today is his last day at Hal's. I, for one, will miss him a lot and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Rick...Thanks for all you have done for Hal's and Brew City BRAG. |
