You want to be in the DC voltage setting. Be careful not to cross the multimeter leads or you'll blow a fuse on the bike. You never want to read ohms with the power on or across anywhere where the is voltage or you'll blow the fuse in your multimeter. |

DC Is the area with the flat bar. AC is the area with the ~. The red lead needs to be plugged into the socket for voltage, stay away from current sockets on the meter, current readings need to be taken in line / in series with the wiring. Voltage can be read across / in parallel with terminals. |

i don't mean to be condensinding(spelling....i know), but if you are unfamiliar with how to read a meeter, you may want to do some reading online on how electricity works and get a good understanding on what is going on before trying to diagnose your bike. it's one of those garbage in garbage out kinda things. |

Well I am a welder. And trust me I know how electricity works. I just dont know how the reader works. 09_1125r helped out, thanks! Oh. And I put my whole bike together part by part from the frame up, I am very familiar with figuring out problems on it. |
