I'm trying to find out if the O2 sensors are turned off when using the race fuel version. Anyone know? | ||

The race ECM does not receive info from the O2 sensors. You can leave them in or buy plugs to put in their place | ||

O2 sensors are not enabled on race pump gas ecm. O2 data is not processed, which is why all people with the race ECM never have the AFV values vary more than 10. The 'Enable open loop learning' is not set in the Race Ecm but is on the standard one. Its more complex than this but I am just giving an answer to the question in a quick way. | ||

That is not correct. The O2 sensors are on and being used in all pre-programmed Erik Buell Racing ECM's. Why do people post incorrect stuff? | ||

I'm sorry Redbat if I am wrong. I am reporting only what I see in Tunerpro when comparing various Eeproms from std bikes and two different pump gas race ecms. I will look more carefully into it. Tell us what you are trying to do and perhaps Anonymous will have an answer. | ||

D_adams, I originally added a D&D slipon to my CR while still running the stock ECM. My AFV's stayed at 100, frt. & rear. Then I put in an E-B-R pump gas ECM it ran smoother, but lost power in the low to mid rpm range. So I installed a Twin Tec fuel controller with the E-B-R ECM. Tuned it and all was well. Boosted my low and mid range power, higher than ever. AFR's stayed at 100,frt. & rear. Ran it this way for five months, no problems. Then I realized the p/n on my ECM did not match to the pump gas version, but the race fuel version. E-mailed E-B-Racing. Sent unit back for correct ECM. In the mean time I reinstalled my old ECM, with the fuel controller still attatched, and now my AFV's are 128.5 frt. and 100 rear. So where is the problem? | ||

Anonymous? Maybe you can shed some light on this. I'm just waiting to get my E-B-Racing ECM back, to give this combination a try. Hope it works, because I really like the Twin Tec controller boosting the mid range power. Maybe I won't need it. We'll see. | ||

You need to remove the sensors and disable the 02 inputs if you run LEADED race fuel - (Message edited by slaughter on June 13, 2010) | ||

That's my point. I don't run race fuel. I run pump gas, but I think they sent me the race fuel ECM by mistake. And I ran it in my CR for five months until I discovered it is the wrong version ECM. | ||

If you went back to the stock ECM why did you keep the fuel controller in play? Wouldn't it be better to return to stock configuration pending the arrival of the new race ECM? I'd have thought any tuning you did with the Twin Tec would have been using the base map in your old Race ECM and wouldn't be valid with the stock ECM... | ||

Jules, at first, I left it in. When it posted a code for the AFV's, I returned all settings back to zero. This zero setting is like removing the fuel controller. But the AFV was still 128.5 frt. and 100 rear. |
