Does anyone know how to set one up?(ohm reader) Im trying to test the power to my IC, but can't figure the stupid thing out. Its just a cheap one from harbor frieght tools.

You want to be in the DC voltage setting. Be careful not to cross the multimeter leads or you'll blow a fuse on the bike. You never want to read ohms with the power on or across anywhere where the is voltage or you'll blow the fuse in your multimeter.

DC Is the area with the flat bar. AC is the area with the ~. The red lead needs to be plugged into the socket for voltage, stay away from current sockets on the meter, current readings need to be taken in line / in series with the wiring. Voltage can be read across / in parallel with terminals.

i don't mean to be condensinding(spelling....i know), but if you are unfamiliar with how to read a meeter, you may want to do some reading online on how electricity works and get a good understanding on what is going on before trying to diagnose your bike. it's one of those garbage in garbage out kinda things.

Well I am a welder. And trust me I know how electricity works. I just dont know how the reader works. 09_1125r helped out, thanks! Oh. And I put my whole bike together part by part from the frame up, I am very familiar with figuring out problems on it. : )
