I have an 03 Firebolt. My header pipe is in ok shape no rust or dents. Just kind of shabby looking. Trying to get some idea's to spruce it up a bit. I really don't want to wrap it. My bike is white with a set of chrome wheels from grandstand. |

Send it for the silver colored ceramic coating. See American Sport Bike for prices. I can tell you that wrapping and painting white does not work. The white paint has pretty much all burned off back to gray or tan, it will get the Titanium colored stuff soon to clean it back up. The white looked great with the white plastic and white mirrors, but just didn't last. |

Cost effective is a scotch brite pad, WD40, and some elbow grease. Someday when I have a header without a dent, I will get the ceramic coating.![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/buckup.gif) |

After you use the wd40 and Scotch bright pad will the header change colors or will it stay polished? |

![xx](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/571791.jpg) The '03 pipes lend themselves to polishing, and once they are polished, they turn to a pleasing gold color: same pipes four months and a couple thousand miles or so later.
![dd](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/571792.jpg) Some of the early pipes will shine up easily, mine did not, as they had lots of tool marks on them. I started out with 400 wet and dry, and went up one step at a time to 2000, finishing with "Luster Lace" a polish embedded nylon ribbon. |
