i am in the middle of some performance upgrades: HMF pipe HMF Race ECM solenoid removal & resistor install K&N filter question 1) where is my ECM located? (please dont laugh) question 2) can i 'bypass' the oil breather line so it does not go back into my airbox? by this i mean run enough hose to vent it under the bike, away from the rear tire....did it with both my 03 Lightning & Firebolt. |

ECM under the left side radiator pod cover. #2, dunno but can't see why you couldn't reroute it. |

holy friggin wow! got it all done, even after a few screw-ups: i re-routed the oil breather then saw the other rubber hose going into the airbox. not really thinking, i re-routed it too....NEVER ASSUME! it turns out its a vacuum line...LOL! when i started the bike i could hear the air whistling thru the couple feet of hose i had hung out back. what a laugh! fixed all back up, did the TPS reset according to instructions i printed from here & its running smoothly with approx 1400rmp idle. i did the diagnostic & all appeared within the numbers i saw here. i will do it again & write them down just to make sure. it will be a day or so before i can test ride it, but i am sure it will please! thanks for all the help. |

Pdawg1970 - It rerouted the breather on both my Firebolt and the 1125R. For the 1125R I ran a hose to the rear licence plate alongside my extended tank breather. |
