Hi, i just installed a Race ECM from ebay, and when i try to do the TPS reset i can't get a 0 values , max. 0.9 and 1.01v, with the stock ECM tunned with spyecm, i done severals TPS , so its the ECM wrong or the TPS sensor??? |

Are you getting a TPS reading on the screen? Does it change when you turn the idle speed adjust screw? If the reading changes, then the TPS is probably OK. Just back out the idle speed screw until the throttle butterfly is completely closed. Once its closed, click the reset TPS button. This stores the zero or closed position in the ECM. After you've done that, you'll need to turn the idle speed screw back in until the TPS reads about 6% so the bike will start and idle. You can set the idle speed after the bike warms up. Make sense? ok, yo, it's what Buellisticx1 told me , it's like do a false reset, then screw the idle to a normal operation value , and then do the correct reset thanks a lot!!! |

Make sure you are not mixing up the volts, degrees and % values as you do the reset. I personally don't pay much attention to the volt values and always use the % and degrees. One other thing is to make sure in addition to the fully closed butterfly is your throttle control is also fully closed and don't just rely on the spring rebound action. Sometimes the control binds at the very end(s) of the travel and that could also though off the TP settings. |
