So here is the official offer. I am looking to trade my 2006 xb9sx for an S2T or S3T. My "9" is easily a 9/10 cosmetically and in perfect mechanical condition. I am the original owner and after the 1000mi. service all maintenance and services have been done by me, insuring the were done correctly rather then left to chance at the dealer. It has never been down or in any type of accident. Not so much as a tip over. In short, it's in very nice shape. It currently has just over 10K.
A short list of mods includes: -Race ECM -Jardine Carbon Fiber pipe - XB low seat (have original also) -clubman bars w/ precision eng. 2 1/2" risers(have original also) -custom powdercoated wheels and engine cradle -Buell traction pegs(also have original) -open airbox -K&N filter -breather reroute -Tek-Spec grip skins
This bike is my baby, I have enjoyed it everyday that i have owned it and it has never disappointed! I'm just looking for a change and something better suited for touring. Ideally I would like to work out a trade rather than sell, but i am open to anything.
I am looking for an S2,S2T,S3,or S3T in the same type of condition as my current bike is in. I am giving up what I would consider a perfect bike and im hoping to find something comparable. Please don't hesitate to throw out other offers, but at the same time please be realistic. This could be a deal that works out very well for both parties!!
I have an 98 S3T in running condition, but now completely torn down with all the parts to turn it into an S1 running a xb9 front end (triple, forks, axle and Wheels front and back, including some other upgrades such as the xb oil cooler and cover and polished headers and can... etc...
Also let me just say, this is one bad-ass xb.....just came back from a nice evening ride!!!!! i'm gonna miss my baby so much, won't someone give her a good home!!!
I'd better go back and edit that line!!! Although the transalp is tempting i'll pass, but i do appreciate the offer. By the way congrats on all your recent accomplishments!
That's a Lot of bumps to just not want to sell but I understand it's your bike and it's your baby. Now you just need to go ride the shit out of that thing and have fun.
with all those bumps he had time to REALLY think about it and in the end its too nice of a bike to let go. I'm glad you were able to reconsider before it was gone and your regretted it. I nearly made the same mistake as I was looking at trading mine towards an 1125Cr I know that I'm glad I came to my senses before it was too late.
