I can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions as to an easy fix. Not sure if there is a part number associated with this kind of thing. Quite dangerous really. I look down while doing 70 and see my stand flyin in the wind. |

dealership, theres a bulletin out for it and to get the spring replaced so just do that, but in the mean time get a metal clothes hanger bend and snip it and use that to hold it up. I had to do that for a week before lol. Jake P.S.- its free |

It's not particularly dangerous, they're designed to fold up if you drag them.. If the spring is gone then I suspect the extender will be too (it's only held on by spring tension). Mine fell off about 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the part (backorder) but someone on here put me on to a guy in Australia that sells the parts in a kit and I had themwithin 5 days.. |

I ran some safety wire through mine, so even if it manages to come loose it should stay with the bike. |

The kickstand spring was a recall item for the 08 1125R. I had mine replaced last year free of charge (hence, recall item). You might want to check into it, its worth a shot. |

You can make a short term fix with a spring and hooks from the local hardware store. Safety wire them in place and that should hold you till the factory parts come in. After you get the new factory parts installed, safety wire the spring to the extender arm. That way when either hook breaks you will still retain the spring and the remaining good hook. |

Use a bungee until you get the parts. |
