6 months ago I couldn't find more than a handful of Uly's for sale anywhere at one time. Now it seems like their a dime a dozen. What's the deal? Is everybody jumping ship or what? http://www2.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi?cat=cpmoto& itm=buell&loc=&fil=ulysses&ys=&ye=&ps=&pe=&pgs=100 &s_k=on&submit=++++go++++ |

They did manufacture quite a few thousand of them. We shall be keeping our 06' and 07' Uly's. |

I am sure a lot of the folks that jumped out and bought during the fire sale did not realise just what they were buying. |

They were getting an American Classic and collectible. Maybe like an Edsel or Hudson but much funner. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on June 06, 2010) |

I see some jumping because of mechanical/electrical issues. Apparently, other brands of motorcycles don't have any. |

I bought mine the week after the announcement, and I knew exactly what I was buying! I'm keeping it, sold both of my trucks to make sure of it. |

In a heartbeat, if someone gave me 20 g's for it so I could get the Duc multi, actually like 23 so I could get the Duc and an old KLR 650 to ride while the multi's in the shop getting the bugs worked out! Wait, I could probably get a Uly for 3 g's, forget the KLR! (Message edited by ronmold on June 06, 2010) |

I don't see a lot of people bailing- I see a few that bought new ones and are now selling them for the same price or higher, a few that need to sell for financial reasons, and lots that bought new bikes and are selling the one that it replaced (thats how I got my Uly!). |

I wanted to dump it for a while just for a change, nothing to do with the Buell or the business or anything. But wifey only lets me have one bike so when I want something different I have to dump and get the new thing. But the fact that the bike is worth so little I was able to talk my wife into letting me keep it and getting a new bike next year. So the high sales and poor resale value may hurt us financially on the bike but the internal politics of marriage this situation could help as it did in my case . |

Not me!! The '06 Uly has overall been the most satisfying bike I've ever owned. I've put over 80,000 miles on two '06s and couldn't be happier. --Doc |

Just about to take mine in for it's 5k service. Beast survived getting hit in the butt by a drunk driver driving a suv. No way in hell I'm giving him up! |

Mideon makes a good point...mine carried me through a deer strike, and though it's still a little crooked in the bars, it's still the coolest bike ever. I gave selling a vague thought this year when the new Duc Multi came out...I really think that's my next bike, but is it too "similar" (in riding position and use) to the Uly? Should I have two "similar" bikes? Yes. The Uly is one of a kind and probably won't be made again. I KNOW I'd kick myself years from now. And it's paid for. And I'm picking it up from the 15k service tomorrow...can't wait to take it to the next milestone! |

Shoot, if someone would come to my driveway and take mine I would be the happiest guy alive. Its probably worth more for the insurance than I can get for it. (Message edited by ogre_fl on June 07, 2010) |
