have any of you guys installed a Stebel airhorn on your uly other than under the fly screen? I need a different location to install mine because my under fly screen area is filled with HID light stuff. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance. |

I've got my stebel installed under the flyscreen with two ballast/igniters for my HID's. If you have the digital setup you have to mount part of the electronics to the bottom of the headlight bracket, the others strapped together on top of the rail. It will fit! |

Yes. Mine is mounted under the rear tail on one of the bolts for the racks. Will post pics when I get home. |

i spent time installing mine behind the flyscreen, and it wasn't as loud as the factory horn, maybe i got a bad one??? but i modified the mounting tab, so can't send it back, i have a sound meter, and the stock horn blew 112db avg, and the stebel blew a 91!!, took it right back off!! everyone else seems to love their stebels though!! |

I couldn't get mine to fit behind the screen so found a spot under the rear fender and mounted it with a CB antenna mount to the support that goes between the two side luggage mounts. Had to do the requisite wire runs but its out, in the open (but hidden) and LOUD. I worried that a wet day would/could cause problems but so far, with higher quality blade connectors and dielectric grease in the connectors, its been fine. |

Something is not right if your stock horn is louder than the Strebel. Mine is behind the fly screen but I'd like to move it or cut slots and install some stainless vent material in the fly screen. Eager to see some of these alternative mounts. I figure the "outer" I can get it the better. |

I have the Madstad aluminum flyscreen, the sound seems to bounce off and right out the bottom, no problem. |

hey court, yeah, i either got a chinese copy, or a defective one, but it is modified, so i cannot send it back. i know i hooked it up correctly. i even tried hooking it straight to the battery with 12 ga wire, and no difference. |

If you reverse the polarity to the motor it will suck air in and make everything really quiet! |

This is an upgrade I have been planing for awhile now, but postponed for newest belt, new '10 wheel, front motor isolator, etc. Where is the best place to get the horn and what all is included in the hook up process? I like the idea of places other than behind the fly screen. Luftkhop you have photos? Jont thanks for photo. |

Pull them up in preview then go to: tools-adjust size and make it 640x480 or smaller then save it and adjust the file size to smaller than 100kb, takes 10 sec., now post away! |
