I'm in Murray, just off the freeway. BUT I won't be able to make it, I've got some afternoon stuff to do with the family.

I think I may run up Big Cottonwood in the morning and see if I can blow out that fuse again.

Same with me Kerri, and I'm also glad to have met you Robert and it looks like I got my new Rosso scuffed in pretty well too but gotta work on my chicken strips!

On another important note: everybody I have ridden with so far in our Utah Buellers Group are great riders and you all inspire confidence in me which makes riding with and along side of you outstanding. Thanks much for helping keep us all safe. Lets continue to "ride for tomorrows ride". Stay safe all until we meet again. Bob (the gray rider).

Where is everybody?, pretty quiet right now. Anybody pulling maintenance or just quietly contemplating our next ride. I hope all is well with everyone and we're all just waiting for the weather to get a little better. Stay safe all. Bob

Been a long week at work...12s for 6 days...yuck!

However, I did the UT SBA ART today...WOW! What a great class! It was raining steadily the whole morning and an hour or so after lunch so it was good form/technique training. Then it cleared up and we could go at it a bit more. I'm sore and beat up, but the bike and I stayed upright this time and I learned a lot!
If you haven't taken this class, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Always something to learn at an ART session no matter how many times you do it. Good job gal. Now, as you stated, you can take some of that to the street but with one reservation.......no run off areas, in the canyons especially as I'm sure you know. Lets ride! Bob

Hi Mike! Hi Robert!

Robert, the ART cost $175, but it was totally worth it. Hey I have an in/lb torque wrench you can borrow, if you'd like...just gotta figure out the logistics of getting it to you...oh darn, I have to ride? Bummer!

Hey, I've got one of those too, sounds like maybe we all ride to Toole this Saturday!

My forks need a rebuild (with new springs and seals) too but are the inverted variety. I really should put the gold valve kit in it when I do the job. Not gonna happen any time soon though.

Robert, there is a Race Tech guy in Sandy, does the work out of his garage, but he's certified by them. There's also a dude who works on a lot of the race bikes, in Salt Lake - Corporate Suspension - My sergeant who was racing a few years ago said the guy did killer work on his bike.

+1 for Corporate Suspension...I've heard nothing but great stuff about them...

But I still like the wrenching party at Roberts house. Admission is one In/Lb torque wrench...

I ran up Big Cottonwood Saturday morning, it was chilly, by the time I got up past the S-curve I was pretty cold so turned around when I saw a line of six or so cars going at least 10 under the limit. It wasn't bad all in all, I was surprised at the amount of traffic at 06:30 though. I brought my heated vest to work tonight and may do both of the Cottonwoods in the morning, but the family has tons of plans tomorrow so sleep will be difficult to find... we'll see how I feel in the morning I guess.

Robert, do you have a headstock front lift or are you using some other method to allow you to drop your forks?

Actually I have never posted pics because I don't own a digital camera, sorry I took so long to answer,I got swamped with work and honey do's.The wrenching party would be fun, just not this weekend. Mike,I have a swingarm stand that I use to keep the bike level, then I use a hydraulic floor jack under the front of the rear shock,(tubers have the shock under the engine).I have a phone # for a Race Tech guy in UT. but he told me he only works on dirt bikes. Is Corporate Suspension in the book? Maybe I'll give them a call.By the way the torque wrench I need (if I do it myself)is a 0-50 in\lb. If thats what everybody here except for me has let me Know and we'll work something out.

Robert,

I have Corporate's # in my phone, I can put it up here after work in the morning. I believe it's a part-time gig for the guy, Jason may be his name... While I'd like to save the money and do my own forks I've also heard you can't go wrong with Corporate so I should probably just have him do mine.

I've seen that lift method done by others here, seems precarious to me but if it works I won't knock it.

Not sure what my wrench goes up to but I got it specifically for working on my tuber. I might could come out that way Wed and/or Thursday evening this week if it's getting close on your list of things to do.

I have a pit bull front lift with pins for 1125 and XB (#2 and #3 I think). You will need to verify what pin size the tuber needs, but I can loan for a week or so. I need it back so I can pull the forks from the 1125 at some point...

Robert, I have a home made headstock lift, pictured below. Not much to look at but very effective and adaptable to many bikes. I currently have a 3/4" pin for it so check your stem hole diameter. If need be we can make another one. Its merely a sawed off bolt.

My in/lb torque wrench has 25# incrediments from 25 in/lb. to 600 in/lb's with about 1/8" division lines. What is the torque spec. your dealing with?

I'll be going to SLC to the VA on Friday morning so maybe we could meet somewhere. Its up by the university. If that would work let me know and we'll get each others cell phone number and arrange something.

Kerri, I didn't think anyone was riding yesterday. No posts. I did the ride around Pineview and new snow Basin road. Guess I missed you guys. Isn't the picture below fun? Were you with Brad from the EOD unit? Good people. Gotta do over the top of East canyon soon. Stay safe, Bob

Mike,if you can post Corporates # that would be great,if he's not too pricey it would be worth having someone who's experienced with this kit do it. I work nights so evenings I'm at work and mornings I'm in bed,my days are pretty much the opposite of everyone elses.By the way I've used that lift system to replace both tires at the same time and to rebuild my forks, and it is pretty stable.I do thank you Bob and Jeff for the offer of you're lifts.
