I have an 04 XB12s and I just got the ecmspy going. I was able to burn a matching 04 race eeprom into my bike with no problem and do a TPS reset but now I am trying to datalog with windows vista. I am confused on the process of getting my datalog info into megalog and how and if I need to modify it in ECMspy before hand. I am having difficulty finding them in Vista. In megalog I was able to open a log but when I press the open msq I cant find the same files but on any file I press it gives me an error saying " only megatune 2.25 and newer XML based MSQ files are supported" I am not sure where or how to change the ecmspy info like the tuning guide says like the AFV to AFR and such. I realize this is alot of questions but I am computer challenged haha. The tuning guide makes it seem easy but hopefully I am just doing something wrong. My megalog version is 2.9 and ecmspy is 1.12.26. Any help is appreciated. Thanks If anyone would like to call me with help please feel free to PM me their number. | ||

 Same bike, Windows, & other software. Most recently, "stuck" arrived for me following data-logging after two fails @ settings to keep laptop awake when closed. | ||

Yeah I havent got that stuck message, but I also have my laptop set to stay awake when closed. I am really just having problems finding my logs especially when I go to open msq. Any help is appreciated. thanks | ||

No not really and I tried to change the user account with no success either. When I hit open msq i just cant see the ECMspy map to open it. Thanks for the help | ||

If you go to user accounts in the control panel, when the screen comes up, the last clickable option is to turn user account control on or off. If you turn it off you will not have any problems guaranteed. | ||

I think I have found the log files to open but when I try to open them I get the error message saying only megatune 2.25 and newer xml based msq files are supported. Is my megalogviewer not compatible with my ecmspy or is it a vista thing. | ||

What version ESpy are you using? I would suggest creating new logs since you turned off UAC in Vista. | ||

I believe my ecmspy version is 1.12.26 and I think my UAC was already turned off. In ECMspy the check box where you check always use a new log file and use megalog format there is one check box saying fetch uak or something and it shows in the tuning guide to check it but I cant in mine it just stays gray. | ||

I loaded megalog and ecmspy on my desktop computer with windows XP and everything works fine, so I guess its just vista on my laptop that is giving me problems. | ||

I did the same and I hate to sound like a broken record but after I turned off UAC I never had another problem. Have you tried un-installing and reinstalling ECMSpy and MLV since you turned off UAC? |
