Kudos to Mike and Brandon for finding out Mikes problem with his XB and solving it. One of the reasons I have tried to get this Utah Buellers site going again. (to share Buell maintenance and problem solving now that we no longer have dealer support). And thanks much to everybody who contributes to it. I think we have a success going and we're enjoying riding, racing and discussions together. Hoorah! Bob P.S. This includes all the out of state people. Frank Skinner, Socalbvuellriders, and anybody else who has contributed that I might have missed. Thanks guys. All those kudos go directly to Brandon! He was the man with the tools and the answers today, and he went out of his way to stop by and take to time to do it. Looking forward to meeting everyone else this weekend. Met a couple dudes from AZ downtown tonight, Brian was wearing his Buell riding jacket and I've forgotten the other's names, they will be in spot 278 I believe. He said he generally visits the 1125 part of the forum, has an 08 1125R and a Uly. The Triumph shop had some Beemers out, the 1000RR sure don't have that traditional BMW look, except the wonky headlights, they do still have that. I'll put some pics up after I get back from the parts store, need some more spade connectors for the M2's heated grip wiring... |

Nightmare1, send me a pm and I will send you some of the files I have so you can play with them. (I think a Utah rider should really come up with the final version). If you can make a couple of them you can start a thread so the Utah Riders can vote on what they want. I will be gone for a few days (riding) but I will return something to you when I get back. BTW: I see by your profile you are in the USAF... Thank you for your service. Frank |

Cool stuff out there at the track, I've been seen giggling more than once. Looking forward to meeting more of our Utah Buellers and seeing the E.B.R. bikes race Monday! IF anyone has a spare ticket for Monday please let me know, my daughter is dying to come out and I'd really like to ride so that means my wife will have to come too. Course, I can think of many worse things than driving out there and spending the day with my little girl at the race track. Brandon gave me directions on the E.B.R. paddock and I got there as Kerri was getting a photo with Mr. Buell himself, it was pretty sweet to just hang out and discuss things regarding the bikes and the company with Erik. Bad news was the 1190 blew a head gasket, so they pulled the engine and put in a 1125 so they could still ride, the bike looks sweet! Brandon heard some good news regarding HD and Buell though, I'll have to let him share that part... |

Awesome that Geoff May could finish 3rd on a 1125R driven 1190! I'll be resizing some of those pics momentarily. Here's pics from yesterday's coolness at the Buell garage.
Kerri, with your permission I'll put up a killer photo of you chatting it up with The Man, signed pillion cover in hand... |

Mike, oh please! Go right ahead! I finally made it home in one piece, which is more than I can say for the Honday...poor thing. Had a nice little low side get off though the Attitudes. I'm good, gear is good...just need some body work. What a great weekend though! Thanks to all who took part in it! (Message edited by nightmare1 on June 01, 2010) |

Glad you're all right Kerri; any getoff can be bad. The bike can be fixed but much harder for our bodies. Will you explain just what happened when you're feeling up to it? Yes it was an outstanding weekend in all areas of enjoyment except your poor bike. Many posts already and 98% positive for what Erik and the Elves accomplished. Rest up and we'll wait to hear some more from our fellow Buell/Honda rider. |

It wasn't a total waste of a day...I was able to clean out the gravel/mud, remove the damaged bits and get the bike re-teched and I went out for one more session. My head wasn't quite in the game and the bike sounded funny so I called it an early day. Jeff was there to offer some moral support (thanks Jeff! ) so I was in good hands. But yes...I am more that willing to talk about it...tomorrow...I'm pooped! (Message edited by nightmare1 on June 01, 2010) |

How about a ride this Sunday the 6th? East canyon, Monte and Wolf creek are all open. My favorite, Wolf creek is posted on USBA by Archer as "nearly completely dry" and "pavement is clean and grippy". Sounds good to go and should be better by then with the good weather. Its 101 miles to Hanna for a stop and chow. Then back. Perfect. Also those guys are considering a Monte to Bear lake ride on June 20th. I'm gonna consider that as well. Lets hear what you're up for. And thanks much to all who came to Millers, especially Kerri for being a gracious host. Lets ride! Bob} |

Just some FYI about Buells racing effort. In response to something I asked them: Erik Buell Racing commented on their status: "We're not quite at WSBK pace, but we were really happy with how we did. Taylor was on Mladin's last years bike, Chris was on a fully kitted BMW superbike, and Geoff almost beat Chris. Not bad for a handful of guys in a garage running a bike that was out of production! If we can get funding to continue for the next couple years, I think we'll be able to add another country to the mix that make great sportbikes!" I will add an AMEN on that. Outstanding achievment for sure we witnessed first hand. And Mike, really great pictures. What camera are you using? I need to upgrade my old 2MP point & shoot Panasonic. Bob |

Camera not withstanding, I will enjoy looking at this in my "old age" HA! as Erik Buell Racing prospers & conquers the racing world. Optimistic, you bet!

Bob, that's a nice picture of you and Erik. My pics are from an Olympus 850 Stylus SW 8.0 It's a pretty good little camera that I bought for under $150 at Sam's club because it was shock proof and water proof, I missed a lot of really great photo ops when I was in Zions back country last year since I had to stow my camera in a dry bag. It does take nice pictures, and I'm not using many of the features available to allow even better pics. I'm off Sunday, gonna see if I can get away for a ride, sounds like a good route you've got listed. |

Thanks for the camera info Mike, I'll definitely be looking at that model. Waiting to see if anyone else wants to ride before deciding on which route to take. Which one do you like from what I posted? Stay tuned in. Bob |

I'm working Sat, so I'll probably need a nice ride on Sun. WX looks good and I think I'll be not-so-sore then. |

Good Kerri, hope you're up to it. Looks like you'll miss the "all girl ride" Sat. That would have been nice for you. Maybe we should just do a short ride somewhere. I figured you'd be somewhat sore after your spill. Glad it wasn't worse. We'll have to take it kind of easy and make it a "nice ride" What route do you like? Bob |

Good, lets do Wolf creek. Maybe leave from the Sinclair in Mt. Green about 11:00 AM Sunday for us N. siders. Should be warm enough by then to be comfortable. Mike, maybe we could meet you in Kamas if you don't want too long a ride. We usually stop at the 7-11 or Mavericks, I can't remember which it is, right on main street. Jeff, Brandon, Kendrick, how about it? We can certainly adapt to others needs. |

Good to have you along Robert. Thats the station we always stop at. If we get away at 11 we should catch you right about noon. Next year for the WSB at Millers. I believe they are already signed for it. What color is your M2 so we can watch for you? Bob |

His profile says blue, as long as it's a stock blue 97 M2 it should be pretty easy to identify. Saxon, maybe I can meet you along the way up? Pending approval from the Mrs anyway, she and my daughter went out of their way to come to the track with me so I owe them some time... |

Also Mike, I'm thinking, if you guys make it, we'll need until about 12:30 to meet up because of the kinda of back road route we'll be taking. Gotta get in as many curves as possible. YA! Hope you both make it. Where's Jeff, Brandon and and Kendrick???? |

Called Brandon, no answer, left a message about the ride. Mike and Robert, would it be any better for you guys to meet us at the gas station on the south side of Wanship at the intersection of SR 32 and I80, exit 156 I believe? We'll be going right past that. Would be there a little earlier but we'll have to stop for gas in Kamas too for the return trip. Let me know. Hope you both make it.
