Buellers, About three months ago someone (I believe was from Ohio) stated that his favorite ride was in eastern West Virginia if I remember correctly. I am headed that way on My XT at the end of June, if you're out there clue me in, or anyone who might know and can help! Thanks | |||

Tk, I bought the RoadRunner 4-day Shamrock pdf from their site and did one of their 100 mile loops from Wheeling WV, i.e. I stayed in town and came back by night fall. It was very nice. I posted a few pics a few weeks ago. I'd send you the pdf but it's a copyright violation  Only $4.95 though. It had tons of blind hills and spahetti-like roads that were always unpredictable....great fun. If you decide to buy it, I'll tell you which route I took. | |||

Anywhere around the Seneca Rocks area is a great ride, rt20, 33, 220, 250, lots of them. County road one from Edray through Cass and on to Durbin is very good. Pretty much just pick and go over there. | |||

Second the Seneca Rocks area. I do a loop a lot that takes 250 from Elkin to Monterey Va. 220 to Seneca rocks. Then 33 back to Elkin. You really can't go wrong on any back road in WV. I try to get down there a few times a year to ride. | |||

Rt 219 [ 2nd best motorcycle road in the world ] - Scenic 150 - Cass - Seneca Rocks, Snowshoe , Greenbank , Elkins to Canaan Valley- Rt 60 Gauley Bridge to Hawks Nest to Lewisburg - Rt 34 - Webster Springs - Berkley Springs - Shepherdstown/ Charlestown / Harpers Ferry / Hatfield and McCoy Trail - Anywhere around here is prime Uly turf. What is really cool is to pick any green sign road - "Mud Suck Ridge" for example - see where it takes you. | |||

yeah what Wolfridge said...August....actually Conchop has a pretty sweet list....if you're on a Uly going up Spruce Knob the dirty way is a good way to cool off on a hot summer day... 33 over to Va is nice as well 50 east of Grafton could be entertaining as heck (actually looping between 33 and 50 could eat up all sorts of daylight) farther west...16, 18 north and south of 50 is mucho fun (this is where we play at Mark's) down south, the midland trail is a sweet ride as well (watch your speed in Summersville and the town of Gauley Bridge) http://www.midlandtrail.com/ link to free map of rides in Pocahontas Cty http://www.pocahontascountywv.com/files/Motorcycle _brochure.pdf come to think of it, finding a bad road might be harder....if you wind up crossing into Va, keep an eye out for speed (even in the National Forest), watch out for coal trucks and don't ignore the railroad tracks (the trains are running these days) oh and small town gas stations (like Harman) are sometimes closed on Sundays.... Hard to find "premium" gas at some spots too. Coal trucks and trains can be miserable. SW WV is a tough tour. SE WV can be an eye opener. Beautiful places. The Potomac Highlands are where it's at. Very little speed enforcement. VA and OH is a big trap. Summersville and Gauley Bridge is just like Sekalilgai said. So is the WV Turnpike. Massive traps. Everywhere else is my personal racetrack. Enjoy. PS - Take a swim at Summersville Dam. There is something in the water that makes you feel real good. | |||

250 from Staunton Virginia to 28/92 to 60 to 219 is an awesome ride. The first part of 250 needs repaved but is still decent. Run up past Snowshoe, to Greenbank is awesome as well. Really any rides through WV are great just watch out for coal trucks, they like to hog he road from time to time. Jimmy | |||

Had my first ever riding in WV the end of last week and it is awesome! I especially liked 250 but all of what I attached was good except getting through Harrisonburg and Buckhannon.
