Yep, but limited data points are great for running with rumors from and venting frustration off of. Anyway, the issue is closed, unless VWolf cares to come back through and fill in the details. If I find a problem I'm often inclined to run it up the flagpole and seek a solution. By the way, it's been awhile since I've been to Chicago, but I'm pretty sure it's a bit closer than 500 miles to Kenosha. Maybe 500 light years in people-measure, but not 500 miles. edited by mikej on July 31, 2003 |

Are there any hills and woods around there? Maybe I'll just bring the spotter along and watch from a secure distance, say about 9,000 paces or so? (Okay, now where did I put the scabbard for the bike....) |

I guess the comment on my oil leak was out of respect for my Dealer. My Dealer does all they can to help any rider and they are in the Big City and find time for all.I can remember several times I rolled in at my dealer and they found time to look at it.Thanks John at Service and Woody and Jake and Chris and Doc and Sam.I wonder if any other dealer has a Drive up Oil change Just like my dealer.Vwolf |

Windy City Buell Track Day - Monday, September 8th It's official Gang. Let's all of us do it. Basically, we have Learning Curves to ourselves. Learning Curves is trackday with instruction. Rick Brewer is an accomplished racer and the leader. For those of you who participated in last year's event, it was a Learning Curves event. This year is different in that it's a regular Lockhart Phillips Trackday, but Learning Curves...up to 20 people...is ours. Learning Curves will be one of the groups to have 15 minutes of track time at 5 different intervals throughout the day. For people who have never been on a track...YOU GOTTA GO. I promise you will become twice the rider you are now...both safety and speed. Don't be afraid of it. There is a group for all speeds, and you only have to go as fast as you are comfortable. It's awesome. If we spill over the 20 people limit, the trackday experienced people can fill in to the Lockhart/Phillips group. If we have 15-20 people, Rick will have three other racer/instructors to help us. Rick says they can provide more "racing" instruction for experienced track day riders. Learning Curves is $150, and the track day only is $125. Registration is at 7:30 AM, and the Learning Curves track-walk(a critical part, don't miss it) starts at 8:00 AM. We need a head-count as soon as possible. Let me know ASAP who is in. I'll try to make the meeting this week to answer questions. If not, flyers will be available. } |

Brad, Yes, you missed the free beer. But besides that, you may also be interested in the following: 1. Several Windy City members will attend Buell 20th celebration on Wednesday, August 20. The plan is to meet and depart Uke's (I-94) parking lot at (kickstand up) 8:00AM sharp. We'll ride to Hals's for breakfast, then join national group ride to East Troy for late morning celebration with EB at factory, then hit many planned (twisted fun) rides in early afternoon in areas like Kettle Moraine and Holy Hill, returning to Chicago early evening. 2. Track Day @ Blackhawk Farms, Monday 08-SEPT-2003. Be there. Need more info? |
