I was at Stone Mountain today. While I was there they started closing up. Joe comes up and says, "Go 'round back, I'll open the door", "I've got something to show you" I go 'round back, Joe opens the door, and there it is...biggernlife... XB12S Awesome. The pipes look really big. The frame is in killer dark grey. The belt cover is NICE. The gold tone covers are extra nice. This one is the Amber/Black. Yeah, Amber, like yer signal. The wheels are like candy amber. These won't be sitting in the show room long. I hope it doesn't kill the 9s, but... |

Glitch, Saw the same model here at St Paul HD/Buell. It's WAAAAY better looking in person than a picture. Really nice looking bike. Looks tuff just standing still. Can't wait to ride one. Brad |

The bike has a very good feel to it. The best way I can describe it is, power delivery like a tube frame with the smoothness and refinements of a XB. Its just great!! Craig Buell Cycle Center

99buellx1 The way you describe the bike is just what I'm looking for. I have a 02'M2 and love the power. I test rode both the XB9 models about a month and love the handling. It sounds like Buell has created the perfect bike for me. I can not wait to test ride both XB12 models. |

Rex, No upgrade on the wheel. Just a new paint scheme. |

I think the bikes are great, but they are still too small. I can't see doing more then 20 miles with two people on them (considering I am 6'3" ). I still love my M2.... |

yeah i hear ya KOZ, being 6'2" my X1WL is just about almost too small too but just right, the XB's are not made for taller people... unfortunatly |

I'm 6'2&1/2", 210 lbs. I have over 10k miles on my "Bolt, many of them with my girlfriend on the back @ 5'9". Too big? Too small? It all depends on how much you enjoy the ride! Sherm |

I'm 6' and have done many rides in the north Georgia mountains, as many as 300 miles in a day. So, yeah, at the end of one of those days the bike does seem to get smaller. But, I ride without a passenger, and sometimes pretty aggressive riding, so, it's what/how you ride that makes all the difference. I do hope that the '05 model year will have a sport tourer. |

Anybody who has access to a Black 12S, go look at it and notice just how many colors there are on the bike. Consider me visually assaulted and not happy about it. Danny 95 S2 02 V-Strom Part-time parts & sales; Modesto Ducati & Buell |

I've looked at it again, I guess it doesn't look as bad as it sounds. I think I'm more mad in principle at the: Charcoal gray frame Medium gray tailsection Light gray passenger footpeg bracket Brushed aluminum heel guard and Magnesium "toned" cheese grater. P.S. I don't *hate* the wheel color, but I don't like it either. Sky White for me. |

The Multi-colors and the awful amber wheels kill it for me..Charcoal gray frame Medium gray tailsection Light gray passenger footpeg bracket Brushed aluminum heel guard and Magnesium "toned" cheese grater. The Black and silver 9s still look the best..to Me. |

I'm just lov'n the reaction my rice riding friends are having to the new bike, desperately looking for anything wrong with it and finding nothing worth talking about. One of them just totaled a (non-rice) Speed Triple by scratching the frame, radiator and tank; $2500 plus installation for the frame, $7800 in damage to a ridable bike that looks fine from 15 feet away! I still can't bring myself to sell my trouble-free X1. May have to make room for another bike! |

The Black and Gold XB12R looks awesome - reminds me of the Black and Gold Custom Porshe's' I use to dream of as a kid - hits me the same way! Now theres a twin I would own! Have to wait a year - just as well it will be easier to cover the insurance with another year under my belt - lol - but its sure nice to have goals and hobbies - lol - GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Was able to capture this not ready for Prime-Time example today. Looking for more/better pictures of the XB12S & XB12R's to update our History Page. Let me know if you wanna be immortalized with a 'photo by' page. Tx, Steve(2)

I think I would do some serious black painting on the bike. I would want all the none amber pieces to be one color. It just makes the bike look smoother. On my M2 I removed all of the black plastic pieces and replaced them with either carbon fiber or painted them silver to match the swingarm and engine. |
