Jimmy, it's late and i'm on the road in a few hours headed back home to SoCal (sigh, yet another 4 days riding the best of the West Coast. it's a tough job...), will ping you when i get back with info about Laguna Seca. btw, i can't imagine you speechless. i DID, however, detect some fairly mangled speech coming from your direction Friday night in Woodland outside Bob 'n Deb's motel room. what a hoot you Canadiacs are when you cop a buzz! SPLASH 2003 just plain ROCKED! XOXOXO, FB |

Kimberlie: Border Raid for cocktails! I can't let my bike no anymore than that, or the Border Raid demons will be summoned. Ferris: I thought I did a good job of holding (one in each hand) my liquor this year. Just ask Deb about previous Splash adventures. She knows what I really look and sound like when the wobbly pops get the better of me. Right Deb? Cheers FunJimmy |

Just to clarify the boarder crossing situation Gumby ... there was a soccer game in Seatle a few days ago that drew a lot of people from Canada. International Soccer in the US of A?!? Hasn't happened in quite some time, I hear! It definitely won't be that bad for the Boarder Raid. |

Latest word from Debbie is; The Bastards still have not given her the results of her X-rays. That as of 5 pm 7/24. What the fuck? sez I. They must want a law-suit. Good part is she is feeling better each day, so is pretty sure that nothing was broken. Her and BOB are goin' campin' for a few days of pampered R&R in the shibby new camperino parked at their pad. (it will be elsewhere for camping) AND THE TOOL IS STILL NOT HERE FOR MY BUELL... sooner, Galen |

OH MY GOD. I WON THE LOTTO LAST NIGHT! SORTA. I WAS OUT FOOLIN' AROUND ON THE BMW AFTER THE SWISS, AND THERE WAS THIS TRUCK LOOKIN' AT ME! SO WE ENDED UP KINDA PLAYIN' AROUND. CAME UP TO A TIGHT LEFT AND I THOUGHT, 'MABY I SHOULD JUST SIT THIS CORNER OUT'. RIGHT. SO IT'S 2 LANES, HE'S IN THE RIGHT, I'M IN THE LEFT, NOTHING IN FRONT OF HIM, ONE CAR IN FRONT OF ME, JUST ENOUGH SPACE AND I GO FOR IT. AS I FLY PAST THE CAR THAT WAS IN FRONT OF ME, I THINKS TO MYSELF, 'WAS THAT A COP?' MMM, THE LIGHT SHOW BEHIND ME SEZ YES! SO OVER I GO AND IT'S A SHERRIF AND I SAY' DID YOU SEE THAT TRUCK, I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM THAT CRAZY BASTARD' AND OFFICER SEZ, 'I SAW YOU COMMING UP BEHIND HIM' I LOOK AT MY BOOTS AND GRIN. THEN I REMEMBER I'M ON DUANES BIKE THAT HASN'T BEEN LISCENSED FOR TWO YEARS, I HAVE NO PAPER WORK, AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW DUANE'S LAST NAME!!! off to work, more later! sooner, Galen

Cool, eh? So I've watched cops enough to know how this could go...I give him my lics. (did I mention my M/C endorsment is expired?) He asks for the registration. He asks if it's my bike? No. Who's is it? Duane. Duane who? mmmm well I don't know Duane's last name. Is this bike STOLEN? No, sir. I just met Duane tonight to agree on me buying the bike, and he's gona look for the paper work...I sorta trail off 'cause I know how stupid I sound. (Debbie, I'm up on a rampy thing about 80' off the ground, so I can't RUN AWAY) He takes my lic. and retires to the air conditioned comfort of his cruiser to plot my demise. I had noticed that he was NOT wearing fingerless black leather gloves, and according to my pal GreenEric, thats a good sign for me. Did I mention I was just leaving a friends house, and had 'something' in my pocket? So Sherrif-Guy comes back, and sez 'I can see how it could be a difference of opinion between you and the truck. drive safe' as he hands me my shit! I think me shutting my yap when he said he saw me coming up behind the truck was probably a good thing. Other than that, WOW! sooner, GALEN |

Back from Vancouver Isl. it was a blast, we did an epic journey that involved ferry boats, border guards, and 94 miles of gravel. But we made it to Winter Harbour, and that was the quest. Hosting the group at my place was the highlight of my summer. What a bunch of great people. Feeding half cooked oysters to the timid was great fun. Sorry we missed the splash ride. Sacrifice we had to make to stay on a reasonable schedule, did 13 continuous days as it was, and barely got to see the Islands. I have to ask, was Debbie wearing that stupid little beanie or a real helmet when she crashed? If she was wearing a beanie I'm driving to Tacoma and taking her keys. Paul |

Galen,Ah yeah I got the documents you need right here.I will call! A similar event happened to me back in the military days. Im ridding this dudes bike off our ship. He lends me his sportster for the day. His name is Rocky no shit. or thats what we call him. I left the base in Maryland headed down the Hi way helmetless of course. I find myself entering Pensylvania a helmet law state of course. I'm grinning ear to ear having a blast when I pass a squad car. he hits the lights. and flags me over. Im thinking oh oh I have a Wa license stationed in Virgina. I'm in Pa. on some dudes bike registered in Jersey named Rocky with no paper work. As the sweat starts to bead. I try to explain thinking Rocky's gonna kill me!! Officer tree trunk says. "you are in so-in-so county Pa, this is a helmet law state! See that sign 100 yards back. push that bike past it and go back to where you came from boy!" yes sir. |

Snail, this is twice you've broke my heart, you salty bastard! More cuss words for you later. Deb WAS wearing her full face, she only wears that beanie-shit when she's on her bagger. Go back up into the archives and there are some pic's. RAY, I'd fergot about your trip to froggie-land. So THATS where you are. And Betty will be viotated to a further extent after work tonight. sooner, GALEN |

Galen, we actually hung around the park in Woodland until afternoon, on the day the party was suppose to start at 9 AM, and it was obvious the rest of the group was waiting for us crude hillbillies to leave so they could approach. We were bored and restless, with a long way to ride. Paul |
