Xb9er, you never said why the switch from the RT-3 to the RT-2. It was your polished RT-3 pics that made me interested in the pipe. The polished RT-2 tucked up like that looks great too. |

It was more of a impulse switch more than anything. lol, I like the looks of the RT-2 better. I was always a fan of the look of the race can for the XB's. |

Its missing a professional looking decal. Not a big one, but a decal as an option. My Leo Vince for my Ducati 999R has a couple of inserts to deaden sound, could something like that be made for the exhaust pipes? |

It's tagged and serialized. There are only 4 out there that don't have a tag, they're prototypes. Cool looking logos cost extra unless you're printing off 1000 of them at a time. Just for that stainless tag, it's about $5 per tag in small runs.

Silly question Dean but, couldn't you just get a die/punch? set and make your own tags? Wouldn't even need a tag, just punch the bracket. |

I love the 4 digit number, its so over optimistic like the 6 digit odometer on the XB |

After 9999 will it go back to 0001? |

No, it'll be just like Y2K. All the pipes will implode, computers will crash and little old ladies in Oklahoma will be running around in their robe with their hair on fire. |

Is there any future design changes to the RT-2 that i should wait for, so I don't jump the gun. i.e. Tucked closer to the engine, chambered, or shorter can? I guess I have some time to mull it over because you will be at homecoming. Also did Erik Buell Racing finish the ECM for this pipe? |

If the pipe was any closer to the engine you would have to figure out a different way to mount the can. This puppy is right up under the motor. Very well designed. |

Are you feeling any additional vibration since changing from the stock exhaust? Any extra buzz to the foot pegs? |

Yes, but you will get that from any pipe |

I doubt I'd ever even hit 1000, much less 9999 pipes. There's only 9k 1125's out there anyway, so I won't build one for each and every one. That would be too much like work. Honestly, if I hit 100 I'd be happy, although I'm about 1/5th of the way there now, so who knows. |

Hello All. Dean I am curious as to the sound of this pipe.. I listened to the sound clips for the rt1 and rt3 on american sport bike. I want to know if it is closer in sound to either of those? I am coming from the TL1000R world.. sporting the full Yoshimura deep growl Is it or any of your pipes close to that? I am very interested. |
