My '08 has been in the shop waiting for a swingarm since the last week of April. Said to me they had to get the part from the mfg, as Hardly had none. Finaly was supposed to be here fri 5/28. Called and it weren't there. They called and discovered that it had NEVER been shipped.... Now I have been calling and bugging these bitches every three days asking whats up? Where is the part? Whats the tracking #... and always was told all is well, they understand I NEED my bike, blah, blah. So I am now informed that they can get a swingarm from another dealer, and have it here in 3 days. Why the didn't they do that originaly instead of making me wait for freakin' ever? 'Cause they suck! Since the bike was there I told them to check the warrenty junk (clutch leak, inst. cluster cluster pulsing front break...) while they were waiting. They DECLINED, saying they needed to run the bike. There is nothing keeping the bike from being warmed up and worked on. It is just because they suck. I have purchased 2 new Buells from these dorks ('00 S-3, 08 1125R) and when I get my bike back I'm having my Hardly Tatoo that was given to me by the shop (as free advertisment) changed to a FU-HD!!!!!! ROCK ON Erik Buell Racing! Please don't bypass the swear filter, thank you (Message edited by froggy on May 30, 2010) |

lol! That sucks man certain dealers just dont give a s**t. Looks like you got one. Its amazing that you have to b***h to get something done. Sometimes that is what is needed to get their ass in gear. |

Not all HD dealers are like this. The key is finding a Buell friendly dealer (far and few). That sux that your bike has been sitting for as long as it has. For those located in North east PA, Schoch's HD is a Buell friendly servicing dealer. The salesmen weren't very Buell friendly..... |

I agree that there is a large variance in the quality and commitment of various HD dealers. A big Thank You to Henderson Buell in Henderson NV (Las Vegas) for installing the new charging harness and the Cali canister on my 1125R, and then plugging in my de-noid resistor in the right place. They understood the purpose of all the mods, and just did it all as requested, no questions asked and no charge to me! In marked contrast; Rossmeyer's HD in Ft Lauderdale FL told me they elected not to spend a dime on 1125 training, even though they take warranty work revenue and sell the bikes. I was first going to bring the 1125CR there for the harness work. "We'll figure it out" No Thanks! This would be unthinkable at a Ducati dealership; I asked Ducati's national service trainer. Earlier, the same Rossmeyer's in Pompano Beach FL (before they were closed)screwed up my 1125CR on a simple flash update. So I took the 1125CR to Peterson's HD in Miami because they had actually invested in 1125 training. They similarly screwed up the harness install by shorting the pins, blowing fuses, and then incorrectly diagnosing the fix. As you can tell, I believe in calling out shops for both good and bad work! |
