I use Eagle One Nano Wax. Takes all the swirl marks out |

I used the Novus plastic polish, I think it was the #1 or 2 stuff, kinda tan colored polishing goo. I didn't work at it real long, but most of the rub marks from my tank bag are gone now. I had a couple of deeper scratches/scuffs on the tail section and those buffed out also. It makes it feel kinda slick when it's done, almost like it's going to get static buildup and shock me. |

Good info about the Novus. I wasn't sure if that stuff worked. Thanks. |

I've got some other stuff called Rejex or something like that, it's extremely slick once it's applied and bugs seem to just slide off the plastic. I haven't used it in a while, ok, since last year, but from what I remember of it, it was good stuff for a clean bike to make it really shine and stay clean. |

Novus is awesome for scratches & swirls. Plexus is a good after ride cleaner (I rarely wash mine). Just hit the plastic with the Plexus and a microfiber cloth and as long as there isn't mud or tons of dirt, it works great. |

the body work is made of colored plastic (not painted!) - so dont use any abrasive polishing medium (like polish). Just use normal bike cleaner - wax for shiny look, or if there are sratches so take the novus stuff (very good)... if there are scratches you cant remove with novus (to deep) - just use colored or black refurbish plastic polish (they dont have abravsives medium inside)! |

a no-name furniture/electronic/glass cleaner & polish (citrus scent) works good for some reason, with a microfiber cloth. |

CD/DVD repair kits (the liquid buffing scratch remover stuff) work great as well. Novus is right in your owners' manual, too. They have a whole section on cosmetic care. |

I have found Scratch X 2.0 by Meguiars works wonderfully in taking out fine scratches and bringing back that show room shine Also I use Plexus Cleaner for my visor on my helmet. I tried it as a quick detailer and worked great but made the plastic so slick that I couldn't get my suction cup tank bag to stick. That stuff works awesome for areas that will get hit by bugs. be very careful with Novus 2 on black body work...it will haze the crap out of it...you have to use a glazing compound for fine scratches. Novus #1 works great as a cleaner. search for 'pod save' and you can see how I brought back a pod after a tip-over. |

I for one, love the fact that the plastics are not painted. No worries about stone chips and scratches. Easy to buff out and polish. Even deep scratches can be buffed out with a little work, and some patience. Another reason to love my Buell. Thanks Erik! |

pledge makes your bike smell lemony... I heard of HD guys using it to keep dust off of the bike, but I never saw it work. |

I like to leave mine scratched up and dirty. I give a good wash every thousand miles or so to remove the road grime, but other than that I prefer to just focus on enjoying the ride. |

+1 to the easy buff out. I kicked the pillion seat cover with my boot and scuffed it good. Took some elbow grease and some polishing compound to clean it up. There is still a small ridge in the plastic but it shined up so nicely it is hardly noticeable. I am sure I could erase it with some more polishing but I will wait until the next time I scratch it. it does annoy me that the plastic will scratch so easily, but the easy repairs and the fact that these plastics are comparatively inexpensive, make it worthwhile. I use plain old Turtle Wax on mine every few weeks and I get a great shine! Just got to be careful getting it on the frame, because those white marks just don't want to come off. It is a bear to dig it out of all the little screw holes and edges too. |
