I had a failed voltage regulator that was pushing 17-19 volts to the battery verified with a multimeter while riding. totally intermittent problem would go away with a restart or if it sat an idled for 5-10seconds volts would go back to 13.5-14, While riding my LCD would say "system voltage" and nothing else on IC worked. no turn signals but the lights kept working and were really bright. 300miles after voltage regulator and all is good |

I saw two volt regulators. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-1125-1125R-11 25CR-REGULATOR-RECTIFIER-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZi tem51928250c1QQitemZ350350364865QQptZMotorcyclesQ5 fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BUELL-1125R-1125-RE CTIFIER-VOLTAGE-REGULATOR-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZ item3eff810da9QQitemZ270574620073QQptZMotorcyclesQ 5fPartsQ5fAccessories |

I just had the stator replaced, right after the harness update. Before the harness I never saw the voltage go low. After the harness my stator went out within 1000mi. Now with the new stator and harness I am not sure what to look for . I have seen the voltage go down to 12.2 even while going down the interstate at a steady 80mph, drop down to 11.9 and climb back up to 13.3 My only concern is walking. I don't like it |

The harness will not stop any existing damage to the stator you should be okay xb1200. Your original stator was already going bad. The harness is designed to help a good functional stator from overheating. The best scenario for people that have not done the harness is wait for your stator to fail. Then get the harness and a new stator at the same time. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/564590.html |
