so when i bought my bike the previous owner had the forks polished and removed them and got them done but when he put them back they werent put on so tight. so i lifted the front end and tightened them to the set torque value. but yesterday i was just riding off and did a little wheelie and when it came down it hit pretty hard and now the front end is lose again. i dont mind tighten it again but is there anything i can do to make sure it doesnt come lose again. like maybe make it alittle tighter or something but im not sure how tight i can make it pass the torque value. |

The problem with polishing is that if done too much it decreases the diameter of the forks, could that be the problem? There is a loctite product designed to glue "things" into other things where a friction fit or clamp is normally enough, I forget the number but if you find the product I bet it helps solve this issue. |
