Mines is first gear, 9000 to 10000 rpm. That's when the bike just settles into a zone |

6th gear, 3000rpm. Thats when your Instant MPG gauge stays easily above 50. |

Idle to 10.5. Then you got Froggy complete opposite. (Message edited by freezerburn840 on May 26, 2010) |

6000rpm - 6th gear - 100mph on the nose. Perfect for open country cruising (provided you have earplugs for the wind noise). |

I love 3rd @ 5K, rolling into it heavy coming out of a nice sweeping corner. Sure 2nd is faster, but I bought the bike, so I'll pick the gear |

T Man , Does your HPE get this great sound when your just tooling around , between 5 and 6K like mine ? Cruising around on my bike in that range just gets this intoxicating sound I cant really describe but its a real head turner for sure !!! LOL |

Thurston: The throttle on my bike is like a rheostat of a NASCAR sound clip. And about that loud too. I thought I'd never say it, but I think the race HPE is a little over the top - anything over 3k. That being said, after I installed E-B-R's Ecm it does seems a little more tolerable. |
